Bloody hell!! That’s insane pricing. Where did you get the figure from out of interest please Mark?

I’m hoping to get an entry to the 100 when the tickets go live next week and I think the price (if it is £130ish) reflects the scale and status of the event,as mentioned above.

A ticket to some of the other big UK enduro races later this year sets you back at least 75 quid for a one day race and again, that’s totally fine for helping support the event and organisers for putting these races on in my personal opinion.

Good luck to everyone who is going for a ticket, hope you get one. My only worry is being online at the start of sales going live and missing out because of the low number of tickets available for the public to race. Fingers crossed though, cheers!

I have had a similar issue with my GX Eagle. Not a click but a creak from the bloody thing under loading. If I take it easy, I don’t hear anything. Had the exact same issue on a demo bike with the same set up too.

Reset and greased everything and still have it. Done around 600 miles so far and whilst it does not affect the ride, I can’t find what causes it.

I hope you find a solution to your clicking.

    Cheers.

Thanks for the replies so far. Interesting variety of stuff out there. Bigfoot, were you the chap talking to my mate, also with the Rallon at the top of 1 & 2 on Sunday?

I think we’re gonna have to book a trial ride! Thanks for the replies

Thanks Glenh. We never thought about the shock settings affecting the BB. Yes, that’s going to help, and with it being boost, we could potentially stick some 29″ wheels on it too for slop fest conditions. Win win!!

2.3 HR2 on the front and 2.3 Aggressor on the back. Should be ok? Come on sunshine, do your stuff.

From much experience, I’d say Defo get it checked out. I did mine partially years ago skating on a damp ramp. A couple of months later it really popped out when opening the door!! Got it pinned now.

I found sleeping with a cushion at my side to rest my elbow/arm on really helped get a decent nights sleep, mostly.

    Good luck with it though.

Hi. I found a few training programs on British Cyclings website, but the best I’ve seen is on the Cape Epic web page. I rode hills off road a lot more to get fitter. More bike time

Completed my first ever off road race in the fun?? Category at cannock today. Mud was plentiful and had me off on lap 2. Thanks to the chap who stopped to see if I was OK. Pride hurt! Completed the race and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Front tyre 24 psi- spesh Butcher (too much in hindsight today) rear tyre 28 psi-Spesh Purgatory.

Sorry for the delay in posting an update here. Thanks for the replies from everyone. I intended to trial the whyte as suggested, on the trail centre at Swinley.

However, I got the chance to demo a stumpy fsr elite 29er and what a difference I felt in the ride from the 27.5 stumpy I’d previously tried out.

I’ll be purchasing the 29er this weekend!! It suited me more, no pedal strikes (poor technique), and gave me confidence over/down everything at cannock. Thanks again for all the thoughts/advice etc..

Again, thanks for the replies. I’m leaning more towards the 130 based on the ease of LBS support. Currently ride 650b and have only trialed the wifes 29er Parkwood around local stuff. Can’t compare HT to full susser though!
