Yeah, sandals are good. But for chasing deer down their trails* I love the security of my TrekSports.

*like I am ever fast enough to keep up with them :-p but they do cut a good trail…

Err. Run in them if you like them, don’t if you don’t.

All I can say is that I do. Have run marathons on tarmac in them and thirty miles in the forest in them.

Funny how they bring out the hate…

Run in what works for you same as you should ride what suits you, not what someone else thinks is best.

    Desire is very good.

In fact I am reading/posting with it now…

    Lovely screen, fast and responsive.

Oh about 90 seconds or so. Long enough with a black screen to make me wonder if anything was going to happen. Then got a percentage icon that showed that it was actually loading.

    Ok investigated a bit.

Went for the quick tick box for over 18. Not much happened. Went to another program at random and it played. Returned and so did "Sleep with me". Took a while to load though.

Playing on Ubuntu netbook remix with Firefox.

Tried reloading, a different browser or anything…

    And time and attention

Food does need time and attention 🙂
But then I'm amazed at all the pre-prepared stuff in the shops.

Seriously, I make bread in the evenings with no bother. Pizza dough is knocked up often on a Saturday morning for lunchtime pizza with the kids while I'm cooking them pancakes for breakfast. (Pancake mixture does NOT come in a packet either 🙂 )

Bread needs only yeast, sugar, flour, water, a bowl to mix in and a tray/tin to bake.

some teacher didn't want to make the effort to get to work?

…some parents don't want to make the effort to look after their children.

Is it worth questioning what is more important to you? (Not directed at anyone, just thinking out loud.)

    # No reposting an ad for 24 hours after it was first posted.

Looks like there is a possibility this rule has been broken, with at least 2 posts repeated in the same day.

(Of course a mod would need to check the post times properly)

Fry some spring onions and diced bacon in butter, then add eggs and pepper, scramble until just starting to set (No rubber!). Serve on toasted bread you made earlier.

(You did make a loaf earlier didn't you 😉 )

    Count me in …

According to Wii fit I'm 109.25kg with a BMI of 33.75

Target to start would be around the 90 kg mark so I need all the help i can get

I was in last year at some point.

Put a bit of weight back on recently (Christmas 😀 ).

However, I was about a year ago 105.8kg, now 82kg (low of 80kg).

    It CAN be done 😀

Eat naff all. Take up running. Be bloody minded.

    Good luck all.

I'm genuinely happy that the obviously cooler herd had "their" single get to number one.
While other people congratulate themselves on how cynical and superior they are.

Perhaps we could be educated on what a cool bit of music is?

Oh, no wait. That would mean lots of people might like it, and then it would have to become uncool. 😀 😀 😀

Ok, fair point. Noticed the dining room light was crap yesterday.

    Sooooo…

How can we take state of the art energy efficient LED lighting and bring it from the bike to the front room???

29p to buy a tune or place a vote…they lost the chart but think how many uckwits have payed money into that, correctly named, sterile pop monopoly

But seem more than happy to do what a facebook group tell them to do…

Flippin eck. It's a laugh. 29p? How much did you spend on silly present for someone this year?

Too original and unique to ever join in with anything? Well I'll admire the strength of your integrity while you never: join in with friends, go to a large concert, attend a sporting event, become part of a community… ..oh, wait. A community like this one?

    😀

Short answer: It depends, but probably.

On exactly how much "Adult material" are you downloading in his connection???

The sad part is that if anything they sold more than they would have without that stunt. The people that were going to buy it bought it, the ones that were not going to buy it might have bought RATM and some that were not going to buy either might have chosen a side just for the heck of it. So it was free publicity for them.

Maybe, or maybe it was just a laugh…

But a free advert for those concerned about such things:
Go buy something from somewhere like Magnatune, you might find something new that you haven't heard but is really rather good 😉

Simon – Not in the least, it was an interesting point you raised. Is age a factor in the type and or diversity of the music you consume. Does education or academic ability come into it?

I once did a DTP project creating a CD insert with a final year class. The highest grades for the project went to those with a defined taste in music (no matter how diverse) an the lowest to those that did "Greatest Hits" type compilations… A small sample set but interesting at the time.

I would actually be quite interested to know the ages of each person here! Like, isn't the Christmas no 1 only of relevance to 10 year olds nowadays??

In my 30's seen RATM many years ago. Now middle aged, in a job that places me now as middle class. Does that mean anything? I really doubt it. Not cared about the Christmas number one ever really. Doubt I will next year either.

An excerpt from a music class of mine:
"Sir, can you play something good?"
"There are more than 8000 tracks on this Ipod and it's on shuffle, I don't do requests."
"But can't we have something good"
"Do you mean something from the TV or the radio"
    "Yeah…"
I smile as they get the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble…

I know people have more than one email, be you prob wouldn't use a work email. you know if you were signed up to a website you would use that email to contact people surely.

Nope, not always. Because I have several website domains I use anything before the @ symbol. Generally related to the person/organisation I am dealing with i.e. I might use stw@mydomain.com for the website but classifeds@mydomain.com.

Hope it gets sorted and life sends you some good stuff in the near future in order to balance out the recent crap.

PhotoRec is very good if you can see the disk.

    <off chance>
You don't happen to have linux box around? If so what does dmesg show? Followed by a prompt "dd if=/dev/sd(foo) of=card.img" to make sure you are playing with a COPY of what is on the card, then leave the card alone until _after_ you have recovered wht you need.
    </off chance>
