coatesy how can the adapters help when the hope GXP adapter fits to the non drive side?

both parts fit on the non drive side 1 internal and 1 external.

then you have 1 x spacer on your BB cup on the driveside. That is how mine is set up anyway.

i was going to get the sony but i read about that Ford design charger ( think its same as they use in there phones ) and was put right off.

Ok when new but soon get sloppy and loose which in turns causes charging to be a pain.

in the end i gave in and chose the ipad 2…

same as above bottom bearing died really quick. went to local bearing place and they could not get anything the same size as its manufacturer specific.

the hope adaptors fit to the non drive side so that wont help you. mine just sits up tight against the hope bb on the driveside.

not a great lot of clearance but enough i suppose.

I never said english dont steal. I said none have from the site i am currently on. You may say i am poison etc but i have been running the site we are on as well as fitting its hit all dead lines and i get on well with all site managers etc including the foreign 1 ( shock ) but it was still the foreigners who stole on site hence my assumption.

If i am a xenophobe then so be it i would not class myself as a racist though that termonolgy is thrown about to loosely !

So there was no theft of “goods” from sites until “foreign labour” arrived ?

    FFS

No theft in 9 month’s except for a 2 x group of foreign labour ( as in from another country and did not speak a word of english ) who took it upon themselves to steal dewalt laser levels etc and were caught on cctv.

When the english guys on site try and get out the gates with stolen goods i will hold my hands up until them i am afraid the foreign labour ( as thats what they are ) i will blame.

    curtisthecat – Member
Well done mate! Nice to see your true attitudes are being exposed. Maybe we should get foreign labour banned and then there won’t be anymore thefts?

No but be nice if said foreign labour could point out when i am in danger or at least understand me if i was in trouble. But tw*ts behind a desk seem to let that 1 go so yeah it if means me being safer by all means… Also people who steal should be banned from working on all uk sites imo english or foreign in this case they were foreign hence my statement.

I think when I start my life of crime, I’ll start by masquerading as an English brickie. Sounds like easy pickings, I’m automatically above suspicion so long as there’s some of them dodgy ‘Europeans’ about.

Seriously mate, I’m genuinely sorry for your loss, I’ve been robbed on more than one occasion. But, can’t you see how, well, wrong you’re sounding?

By all means then when you steal i can say The English worker stole my tools… until said English worker does that then is it not the foreign labour that has stole ?

Curtis if i had just finished a trail centre loop and was going to have a cuppa in the cafe yes my bike would be put in the back of my van as thats safer than outside the cafe where most leave them. I have been cool the whole way through this even with you trying to get me to bite at your lack of sympathy.

When the english guys on site try and get out the gates with stolen goods i will hold my hands up until them i am afraid the foreign labour ( as thats what they are ) i will blame.

wow cougar real grown up you make me laugh. i assumed the insurance on my commercial van insurance covered my contents hence the insurance on the goods carrying. This have never happened before so no need to dig deeper into it.

Now i have had to i realise i should have looked into it more but my crystal ball only works now and then !

claiming on the house insurance would make a yearly increase which would outweigh the tool loss.

iridebikes finally someone who has experienced it for themselves. Its ok people judging but until you have worked on sites everyday of your working life i suppose its hard for certain people to understand how bad some can be.

Cheers for the offer of tools That is genuinely a very kind thing for you to offer. I do live a fair old distance away though i have arranged some light work for a few weeks to get me by. Hopefully can put some money away to replace some of them.

    cheers guys.

Lol well i cant call them english workers and they are from all over the place dont speak a word of english so forein no?

There the only 1’s to get kicked off the site for stealing there underpaid and take there chances . I would not steal anoter mans tools i know how important they are to some people !

    tony24

Well considering afew groups of them have been kicked off for stealing it would not suprise me hence me saying it !

But i cannot carry my tools on my back 24/7 so if someone see’s an oppurtinity they will take it

Insurance is being funny i am insured for carrage of goods but not for my tools which i cant make sense of not looked into it to much yet as i have not get my insurance documents with me.

There is a big chance its someone off site with the amount of foreign workers there but no cctv where my van was. Just crap tbh.

It was done outside the site not outside my house. Genrally my tools are with me not sat in my van.

I have had 1 since they first come out got an original pre order its a fantastic bike i used it to do the london to brighton offroad which is 75 miles, bontrager 24/12 12 hour enduro and used at plenty of trail centres. Its climbs brilliantly and decends just as well. I run it with a 130 fork but am going to try it with my 150 revs before i reduce them to see what its like .

    Great fun bike imo

I got non ust x kings protections. Took me a week and half of constant shaking to get the sidewalls sorted then a couple of rides now holding air very well.

My first venture into tubeless and the week of effort was so worth it.

Many branded carbon frames are chinese, ON ONE seem to doing well with them. Why not purchase a cointainer load and become a brand.

The on ones are worth the extra i have seen both and the quality of the on one compared to most of the chinese ebay frame is alot higher.

Yep pretty much the price i said cutting the brickwork out takes no time at all.

@ zedsdead its probably the brushes which sit in the channels of the door they have a semi ridgid plastic in them that wears and the brushes begin to fall out over many years. You could just replace the brushes if the doors and units are ok.

Brickwork knock out or not its still only a days wage if you wanted all internal made good then you would be lookiing at more

I am a double glazing installer the cost of patio doors is generally quite high i would be charging around the 800 mark to supply and fit. They would be high quality not the cheap stuff.

Imho i have fitted wicks double glazing before and i dont like it not enough reinforcing, cheap units and cheap locks. Always go for a better brand imo they will work alot better for alot more years.

can you not fit a window into the room to make it more appealing to sell anyway? or does the room have no external wall?

    tony24

i think there is a rule that says a living space needs to have so much natural light entering. so with no window it wont be classed as a room.

I am a new owner to a chumba VF2 while si is good on the customer service side, Chumba CS suck i have written 2 x emails to them filled in there online form and have posted on the forum under the customer service section afew weeks ago and still no reply.

tbh at times i have just wanted to get rid of the bike purely because of the lack of CS why you ask?

What happens when i need bushes, spares etc ? I am buggered…

Owned the frame for getting on for 4 months or so and still have not a single decal for the frame !

feel gutted sometimes but thats life.

Was quite warm so i took the sleeves off and was fine then on a long descent from the cafe we ride to i put the sleeves on and was toasty all the way down. Feels like a great all seasons jacket to me i didnt use a thermal base layer either come winter i feel the jacket and a thermal layer will be all i need.

The standard sram gxp bb are crap i can knock the bearings out in less than 3 months i only weight 11 stone 8. They are terrible even the new gutterseal sram 1 is the same. I have been running the hope with gxp adapter for over 6 months its still as smooth as the day it was fitted.
