They are fantastic forks the only downer on mine is that it has the old style rebound adjuster that gets knocked quite easy. I would have another set within a blink of an eye though not a single thing gone wrong with them. ( DT Swiss )

I have heard that the Pace forks were not as reliable though.

Plastic pvc sashes are exspensive but worth it no draughts, open perfect and maintenance free the initial cost will be a lot but with the time saved over years of work in re-painting and repairs they will pay for themselves. Also will increase security and make it warmer.

I know how this feels. sorry you and the pup had to go through it. I took my dog for a walk ( staffie ) and went into a field. He was on his harness with lead and a collar. A Alsation came over and started to sniff him my dog stood completely still when the other dog started trying to bite him. i swang my dog with the lead out of the way of his attacks but he grabbed hold of my dogs leg.

I dropped my dog to the floor and scrabbled for the Alsations collar and guess what, nothing there. Last resort was to grab the dog in a head lock until the dogs owner came over and dived on him… I hurled abuse at him for him not having a collar on his dog as its easy to control them with the collar as you can twist it to cut there air supply.

truly awful also got chased by a Alsation on my mtb the guy shouted ” Oiiii stop he dont like bikes”. Surely the idiot should have him on a lead in a public park then?

tried spraying a bit of gt85 near where the rails meet. they could be rubbing also. undo the saddle clamp put some grease around it and tighten if back up as it can sometimes be the cause.

whenever i need comfort i fit the charge spoon its a great saddle and you can get it for £20 new…

although the back of the spoon is relatively wide because of the shape its very easy to get over the back of.

you just want a standard composite door then unless you live in a high crime area or fancy paying more for a fire rated.

Even with the added security in the panel and all the locks in the world a criminal can still smash your window…

£400 will get you a bottom to mid range they are well above that especially the fire rated 1’s

Normal composite front doors are fiberglass moulded front and rear panels which are layered onto afew layers of ply then have a ali plate fitted around the external edge.

the front brake had only been bled about 2 months ago the same way i had done it this time. its certainly a possibility but before the hoses were changed i could nearly force the lever close to the bars on descents. Now i couldnt even if i wanted to.

The clearance in the bb area is fine on these as the use external bb cups like the shimano hollowrech 2 where the whippet uses internal which I think is what causes the problem.

The SLX shifters are the worst part of the groupset imo the xt are far better and just feel better made all round there worth the extra.

has taken me 6 months of riding to find the correct positions for the saddle and bars etc.

I run 130mm travel forks with flat bars but i dont have no problems going down steep stuff i always find if i get over the back of the saddle that descents feel brilliant.

the BB has good clearance as its classed as an all mountain frame its 300mm from the floor to the bottom of frame. this is with 2.35 tyres which are quite fat.

I like the clearance i have not hit my 44 chainring on anything yet.

certainly this frame does not feel like something you can break cannot wait to throw it down some welsh hills in afew weeks :D

a friend of mines whyte frame went like this apparently it was air bubbles underneath the laquere. It causes no problems at all but whyte replaced his frame under the 5 year warranty.

There still in the process of sorting the warranty and his still riding it off road with no problems at all.

no reason at all its my do it all bike sold the full suspension and love the carbon 456 to bits.

lets put it this way if i ever crashed it or managed to break the frame in some way there would be another 1 shipping its way to me the same day :D

If your a size medium or small lakedale bikes have some specialized enduro shorts reduced from 70 to 30 which is quite a saving.

i have the noir crankset which is the same and its got a big gap but works perfect.

did you get the new bb with yours its grey and has rounded edges? or the old black bb the new 1’s seem better the old 1’s wear out to quick.

alot of the doubles are coming with a 42 up front though. so the clearance over a triple is not a great lot tbh. suppose it depends how high or low your bb clearance is my on one has quite a high bb so even with a triple i can clear a fair height.

    tony24

Thats correct it does not sit tight like the shimano cranks. no spacers needed either as its a srqam bb like you stated.

i would go with shimano shifters if i didnt have to have there mech’s aswell im sorry but srams fit and forget mechs are a god send, not to mention its a xo redwin and cost enough to not go out and buy all new shimano.

the truvativ gxp bb only use 1 or no spacers but seeing as its a hope bb it might throw all that out the window. try using 2 spacers drive side and 1 on the non drive side.

nice to here i had x7 on my old bike but they were 2009 they felt ok but the shifts did not feel as good as x9. i will give the new 2011 x7 a go because they must have changed the design for the better…

I done this the other week shifter was very lazy and not returning even with no cable in so i removed the bottom and then bits flew everywhere.

I did it the complete opposite to the guides though as i found the way the guide describes the coils of the spring can get crossed to easy which in turn rub and cause the problem you have.

I took everything out of the shifter so it was just a shell coiled the spring around the shifter lever then with needle nose pliers hooked it into the the shifter housing.

Now works like a charm :D

Its fords in general they must use poor amounts of sealant or a poor grade metal. Check out ford transits, ka’s , focus etc they all suffer alot earlier than a peugeot for example.
