It isn’t all about calories in calories out… low carb and any other “diet” where do your 2900 calories a day come from? Are they from processed foods? Sugar? What are the macro ratios you hit each day? Have you used my fitness pal abd measured the food you eat? Do you constantly snack through three day or give yourself good breaks between meals?

I know it’s a lot of questions but it’s all relevant.

I would always recommend them now. They are easy to clean. Look great in the kitchen. Cooking times are nearly half of gas.

can i also suggest you try a whyte m109. Ive had mine for about 6 months and its a lot of fun to ride. i did cwncarne on it in my fastest time the only bike ive been able to get up the whole climb with ease and had the most fun ever coming down. for a 29er it is really easy to move around even the switchbacks were not a big issue.

    its worth a test

I run a 2.1 ground control on the rear of both my bikes best all round tyre I have used.

I have only used it in store but its just like using the new nexus but without the high resolution screen. Its quick and the Tesco branding is very subtle only sign is the “T” in the left corner which links you to there own branded stuff. for the money its a bargain there is not much with the same specs for money out there… Even the Kindle fire HD which is now only £130ish is not as good specs wise.

the answer is you cant be good at everything if you want to be a runner then run. if you want to be a cyclist cycle. I used to cycle constantly and was fairly quick. now I spend 5 days a week in the gym. gym work changes your composition massively I notice it a lot more where as riding just seemed to make me smaller… I prefer to enjoy the odd mtb ride at a quickish pace but look half decent at the same time :D

They can do that without a problem will cost a little bit though as curved stuff always bumps price up.

I ride a whyte m109-s 100mm travel is defiantly enough. I took it to wales recently and had the most fun I had on any bike I have taken in previous years certainly never felt like it needed more travel. The light wheels probably help with the climbs though… It does pedal up hills really well considering it weighs 27 pound.

The packers are used to keep the unit from sitting in water which breaks down the seals quicker. They are also used to toe and heel a window basically if he has not done this on any of your opening Windows once theframes drop which tthey will over time you won’t be able to stop them hitting the run up blocks or frame. the packers do need to go in.

Been fitting the God awful stuff for 8 years lol

They are the carbon rims and I did notice that whyte now list them as tubeless ready but when I initially got the bike they didn’t. All I have done is 2 layers of yellow tape and that’s all.

The Maxxis ikons are so loose on the rim I couldn’t even get them to go up so there was no point. I now have specialized ground control 2.3 on the front and 2.1 on the back they go up really easy and stay up not had a single problem with them and the grip is brilliant winter or summer.

I think you could get away with 2 layers of yellow tape contours providing you get a goor fitting tyre

Check out the hope r4 they were on Merlin with 10% off I got the 2 endurance battery set up for just over 220 so you should get a 1 battery set up for close to your budget very small but powerfull light don’t even need to use it on max so run time will be around 4-5 hours

I was the same as you wanted a phone I didn’t have to worry about being a tradesman. The Sony is brilliant iI love it and the camera is brilliant too. It loads web pages so much faster the the Iphone I had before. The other day I got it covered in cement dust went to the tap and washed it all off then dried it no worries at all.

Why has the cost suddenly changed so much from there original quote? do you have the agreed price on paper? Have you paid the balance already before completion?

I’m sorry but it’s part of the job. If I did a job for anyone and broke my tools doing that job I don’t charge my customer! you add the cost of maintenance to each job for the Times this does happen not alot but you
Know eventually your tools will get broken / wear out it’s just how it is!.

Tell him to pay for it himself as any professional would.

The saying go heavy or go home lives true. If you don’t do a heavy weight you won’t build any mucle. Lifting heavy allows you to keep mucle while losing weight which we all want. losing weight without lifting means you lose mucle mass as well so you end up lighter with close to same levels of body fat…

Im sorry but high reps weights is an absolute waist of time. you want to do Olympic lifting with heavy weight specially squats as it will improve your cycling no end. You wont get bulky unless you eat a calorie excess. If you do Olympic lifting and eat at a deficit you will keep all the muscle you currently have at your weight now but while doing the lifting and eating low calories you will be burning more calories. you wont gain muscle unless you eat more than you need simple as.

example I have been weight training now over a year doing mainly Olympic lifts went from 12 stone to 13.11 eating over 3500 calories am now at 13.4 eating around 2200 but am actually trimmer than I was with more definition but still in the same size clothes as when I was 12 stone… Cycling is generally easier now as my back does not get as tired my legs are stronger and my chest is a lot stronger and I know a few cyclist who suffer with big chest problems due to lack of muscle in that department.

I can give you a heads up on the cube I have owned the reaction gtc sl for just over a year and it is a brilliant bike I have done a 12 hour race on it and it was still comfortable even in the last hour. The spec that cube give are generally fantastic for the money. I have also used it for some slightly more technical stuff and it never feels to steep or out of its depth.

The canyon gets very good reviews think they tested 1 in a recent bike mag. And it got 4 and a half out of 5 the only problem with getting the canyon is availability.

The only downside I saw on any cube reviews was they said the frame was stiff but coming from a on one 456carbon iI can tell you it’s far from stiff compared to that bike

the maxxis tyres are baggy as you like on the rims really no good for tubeless imo the specialized 2 bliss go on perfect never burped 1 of there tyres.

Mboy I may have a good offer for you. I have a 58 plate ford transit swb high roof which is perfect bike size 2.2 litre diesel it’s done 57’000 miles ( very low ) averages 34mpg so is bloody good for a van even on short journeys around town. Its navy blue and honestly in fantastic condition I can send you some pics once I’m back from my weekend away. I would be after £5600 for it which is a little highernbutni doubt you would find another van with this mileage and price for anywhere near what I am asking average with vat is between 7-8k

My email address is tony18@hotmail.co.uk if your interested

for £2000 they had to compromise somewhere and its probably the wheels there probably very flexi. best to let the bike shop throw then on a stand and have a look apart from that maybe go for a slightly smaller tyre like a specialized captain2.0 or 2.1 ground control as that’s the same tread pattern as a nobby nic but slightly less volume.

Strange I’ve ridden with 2 roadies who average 50 mile road rides they came out for a mtb ride and could not believe how hard it was in comparison… suppose it all depends how hard you push yourself.

I suppose it depends what sort of manual labour it is. Some people I know who do manual labour get on site at 8 swan around pointing at stuff leave at 2:30 and get paid a day’s money easy!

On the other hand I have done 5 years on constant 5 o clock wake ups on site for 7 to prep material inside house by 8 and then on the go till 4:00 home for 6 where you feel physically and mentally messed up by Friday’s everything aches. I know have a semi office job and I can 100% say I have never felt less stressed or happy in all my years of work. all depends on what manual labour it is I suppose

Apparently the moulds are to expensive to remake so they used Ali instead and have said they may make carbon in the future. Suppose it depends how well the riders do on the bike
