Are you sure there’s not a bolt holding it in? Sometimes a big 11 or 12mm allenkey needed to undo the free hub on some hubs.

Interested in this myself. Apparently the new pin through system is there to prevent them slacking but just seems to stop you adding tension. I’m in the same boat. Albeit with a much newer x0 mech

Not sure if they’re anodised. Just bunged the tube in and sent her on home. Didn’t pay much attention to it was pissed at the time. Will get her sorted over the weekend.

Cheers, they came built up, so I’ll get them stripped down and cleaned out and try some other tape. Thanks

One month in on my gamuts and they’re really good. You really appreciate the extra bit of clearance from the thin profile. They’re so grippy too. No noticeably play or grittiness in them and them seem some awful conditions at home and in the tweed valley

Skylines aren’t long enough I find. Leave a gap between your shorts and pads. Also the seam in the seat runs right down the middle, mine has started to come apart after not much use.

Didn’t for me. The driver did try and call me when he tried to deliver though

Excuse my ignorance, but were mavic 721s (21mm inner width) not the go to dh rim in years gone by and regularly run with maxxis 2.5 inch tyres? I definitely ran them and thought they were fine and didn’t suffer from floppyness

Ye, the bit under the lever is independent of it. Moves freely. All riveted so no bolt down the middle to adjust. I’ll email orange today and see what the story is. Thanks

There should be a couple of pics of the axle here. http://m.pinkbike.com/photo/13597696/
No branding on it at all

That’s what I was thinking. So it doesn’t needa be screwed fully home then? Sounds more like it.

Cheers for that but that doesn’t seem to change the tension. I’ll get pics uploaded of the lever when I get on the pc

Do a couple of days around Wicklow, carrick where the ews was. Then head north, Rostrevor, big wood, Tollymore and Donard for some great natural trails.

High intensity interval training for weight loss. 5×5 for building strength.

Change the routine up every couple of weeks so your body doesn’t adapt to the exercise and plateau

Yes it’s the top end factory 34 with fit 4 damper that orange seem to be stocking on their builds, or the pike rct3 solo air.

Sounds like the 34 could be the one. Cheers guys

Your lbs should be able to order it if they’ve an account with Madison. I got one previously for a problem similar to yours. Didn’t really cure it though

The fact it’s discounted might suggest mk2 on the way.

Betd do bolt through axles that fit. Think they’re advertised as intense, but have the same thread pitch as maxles

So stayed around glentress and inners in the end and I’m glad we did. Found some of the best riding I’ve done in a long time. The golfy was amazing and thanks to the local guys for pointing us in the right direction, some of you may well be reading this! It was a soaking wet day but them trails are so well built. Too hard for the ews was another firm favourite!

Cheers. Have the ews maps so we’ll see how we go

I would suggest a spinning rod and reel setup about 8ft or so. Very versatile.

It’s a maze of amazing natural trails. Need local knowledge really. Nothing’s signposted. But has some of the best riding around

Really liking the new impact xvi. Running them a couple of months now and they seem a lot more thought out than the old ones. Whether or not they’ll last longer is another thing.

Wee write up I did here http://totalguiding.com/2015/04/28/five-ten/

Has anyone figured out how to stop it leaking from the double o ring seal at the under seat lever?

Maybe you come down with a cold after you perform well due to pushing yourself harder than usual?

Pretty sure there should only be one spacer in the freehub.

    So update on this.

Checked various different bushes and mount hardware and there is still slight play with them all. This was never the case before I fitted the titanium hardware. Could it be possible that the titanium has worn away the frame slightly so the hardware is now not fitting properly?

    Frames an orange 5

    tony07

Yep. The bush is new. It seems as if the hardware is maybe slightly too narrow then and not getting clamped tightly?

I use a urge all m and it’s great. No real adjustment so doesn’t suit everyone. Did a short write up about it here http://tinyurl.com/m4ew3ap

Betd do an intense axle that is the same thread pitch as maxles in 135mm version. Worth giving them a shout to check if there’s a 142 version
