Give windwave a shout. They were flogging old kit recently. Hell at least know what you need.

Go from Larne to Belfast. Then out to strangford. Get the ferry over to portaferry. Camp at castle ward or de Lamont. Then down to the mournes. Camp around castlewellan or kilbroney. Head on down the east coast towards Dublin. Plenty to see along the way. Then across to Galway next day would be my suggestion.

Fabrizio is a top lad. A lot of the uplifts are the same guys, running vans all day. We got a fair few from the shop up near finale freeride. Can’t remember it’s name.

How did you get the pin pushed back in? Is there slots the whole way round to allow adjustment?

Call betd components. They make axles with the same thread pitch as maxle.

Use the evoc tour 35 with groups. Easily fits first aid kit, shelter, warm jacket, spares, tools etc

eBay. It doesn’t need to be high quality. You’ll use it once or twice. Have 11/12mm keys from eBay I’ve used on hubs before and had no issues

Maybe try betd components. They may have a bolt through that will fit. I replaced a maxle before with one. Superstar also do axles but I think the thread pitch may be different

Pair of mole grips got it off! New hope bb fitted and running the best. Cheers guys

Aslong as they’re the same code they will fit. I used some cheapo ones from eBay last time I did it.

@patriotpro why so? They’re race face six c cranks. 30mm spindle?

Tried a few lbs but no one has the tool. Offered to buy it and only charge me the removal but was looking it swapped out this weekend.

Will try a few others. Thanks for the help

Sorry, should have elaborated. By the time I drive into the city centre, find somewhere to park, take my bike to the shop and pay the £15 I would say it’s too dear. Thanks

Just about to buy one of these. What took to remove my existing race face 30mm?

I have one. Handy wee bike for the commute. Gearing is a touch too high for my liking so will change it at some point, couple of teeth off the chainring maybe. Yep brake judder on the front. I put a bit of toe in on the pads and it lessened it significantly.

    Thanks for that!

Will keep an eye out for it

Climb doesn’t take you most of the way up, still a bit more to do. Views are amazing though after where the uplift drops you off. Plenty of spots where you can bail back to the trailhead too if you get a bit knackered. Could also drive to the top car park yourself and start from there and climb back up to get the car at the end/ get a lift. Similar distance to buzzards nest in glentress.

Too hard for the EWS is bloody hard in a different way to Nae Spleens. Both two of the hardest about.

Wolf of Wall Street was horrendous the day I tried it too.

East ridge sounds like a good shout. Wee bit on Trailforks, presumably a bit more hidden in the woods. Thanks

Definitely include some of the tweed valley in there!
Could easily spend a week here.

Yes I’m sure they are genuine unless wiggle are selling knock offs. The space where the strap is has a pocket for the strap to run through it has been stitched together forming a seam.

Poc vpd 2.0s have a seam along the bag that chafes the life out of my legs. They also stink even thought they’re polygiene treated. Not a fan. Looking to try some of the raids but nowhere has them in stock!

I’ve used fire cement before, but it wasn’t that dry so easy to press in.

Did you start with a small fire and build the heat up slowly to let the cement set?

I had this issue on an iPhone 5. Ended up having to delete all apple software and all related files. Reinstalled iTunes and got it to work. Disaster

I’ve just moved to moseley myself so pretty much in the same boat. Looks like regular trips to Cannock and to north Wales on the cards!

I think to work in France you need a course coordinator who has the international mountain leader. Aslong as he’s involved and you have a Mtb qualification from the eu you’re sweet. Don’t quote me on this though. The new British cycling awards don’t include coaching as standard so won’t be that far up the ladder of the eomtbing stuff. Shots themselves in the foot a bit, only seem concerned with profit, much like the bcu

Not 100% sure but check out eomtbing it’s an eu wide scheme that takes all the awards and scores them against a benchmark. Soon they’ll be giving out guide cards depending on your level. Switzerland and France already doing it.

Cheers guys. Lots of good stuff there. 25 and not hoping to stay there for much more than two years really all being well! Get some experience under my belt.
