Follow the cane creek guide to setting up the shock. Find a trail you are familiar with and spend a few hours playing with settings. You’ll find what works for you. Bring your shock pump and tools to remove volume spacers. It’s just a small flat blade screwdriver and a length of tube really to grip the air can to remove it. I had to add some volume spacers when I ran one on my orange five. But once I spent a morning setting it up, it transformed the bike

What makes them easier to bleed? The only tricky bit was sometimes chasing the air out from behind the pistons in the calliper I thought.

Pages constantly crashing on iPhone 12 mini. Clearly my fault though

Had the same issue yesterday evening. Getting a bit tedious the whole blame the user thing.

Issues here on iPhone using safari. Pages randomly crashing and refreshing. Takes an age for threads to load, often hanging and not loading at all. Using the back button to return to the forum home page is also a recipe for disaster.

Might get the workshop manual here

Yep happens every time on the site. iPhone, safari. Also can’t view embedded YouTube videos unless logged in

Have you checked the pressure in the system?

Troy Lee raids. Don’t notice I’m wearing them. Hike a bike to full days in the saddle. Previous pocs destroyed me

Thank you! Had read that about the damping. We’ll see how it goes. Might get them tweaked when they’re first serviced.

Glad to hear they’re easy to live with then.

Should be able to put a 90 bend behind the chimney bit of the hood and then out the wall.

Did you change the outer or at least trim the ends? Is the cable routed correctly through the mech?

Very much depends on the stage. The licence will be taken off at some stage. Not sure how it’s determined. Presumably a medical is required to retain the licence

Yes, threadlock affects torque settings also

What model? The one up v1 seal kits fit the brand x xl ascend. Also think shimano koryak seals fit

I thought it was generally accepted that vws would do a Regen once per tank fill or so. My 2.0tdi certainly does. That was both before lockdown with a 100mile round commute and post lockdown with nipping about and longer journey once a week

I’ve a gamut guide on mine, but purchased when I got the bike in 2016.

Nukeproof or Funn might do a direct mount. What about bb mount?

Ahh that’s a shame, thanks for the feedback. I had given up on them to be honest, but needed another set of flats so was hoping to get them up and running again.

Yep, just wouldn’t budge at all unfortunately. They’d be sitting unused for quite a while. Will maybe try them but there’s no sign of anything new on their social media or website

There’s a setting in camera or photos to transfer as most compatible or something along those lines. Might need to change that for it to work on the windows laptop.

Do you need to change the bushing or the mounting hardware. Bushings are only a couple of quid such as https://www.tredz.co.uk/.RockShox-Rear-Shock-Eyelet-Bushings_107593.htm

I found the brass “offsetbushing” actually wore a bit in use. Current burgtec ones haven’t.

Rather than start a new thread, anyone else got any views on the stage 6?

Now the stage 5 is gone, this might be an option.

    Cheers

Was holding out for Orange to release a new stage five. But this looks interesting and ticks a lot of boxes.

Any news on a new five from orange?

I had a nightmare with arc27 rims. Solution for me was to sand them with very coarse paper. Clean thoroughly with meths. Couple of wraps of decent electrical tape then tesa or stans tape. Hairdryer and plenty of pressure needed when installing.

Gorilla sealed easier but was a nightmare to clean off all the gunk once the adhesive broke down and the sealant got under the tape and they started leaking.

I’m in a similar position. Recently moved and can only get about 9mb/a even though fttc is available in my area. Ports all full in cabinet. Best they could tell me is that open reach check capacity and upgrade every so often but no idea of timescales. Can either add another card of ports or sometimes a new cabinet is needed

Blue seal bearings have been good for me in the past. Pick them up on eBay. I do periodically repack with grease which probably makes a big difference.

Be careful with freehub bearing. Think the xd uses a different size bearing

My 30mm hope bb didn’t. Pretty sure they don’t. My old race face one didn’t either in 30mm version

Dpf fault could be dodgy sensor. Or as above could be from dodgy fuel and clogged filter. Have suffered “diesel bug” before that would only cause issues under hard acceleration

Fox hunt track isn’t rideable unfortunately. They close it off after the race. Orange runs are ok, but there is better stuff there. Ask for bins or just hop on the loop for the views. They’re pretty epic

Should be able to get to rostrevor in an hour. It’s well worth the trip. Plenty of people should be out so pick their brains for the natural stuff. Some great stuff there if you can find it. Big wood is a small forest on the dual carriageway between newry and Warrenpoint with some great trails. Not a lot of gradient but good fun. Worth stopping off on the way to or from rostrevor if the legs are ok.

I’d say carrick is definitely worth the trip. The trails in there are cracking.

Mostly the walkers route, but a few blogs online suggest it’s worth doing on the bike. Could modify it a bit.

Where’s the mark? Think oranges can sometimes give way at the rear dropouts. Some spots the paint cracks like at the front shock mount, but this is usually just the paint

The red loop in Rostrevor is very scenic and quite accessible. 100mm ht is more than sufficient. The descents aren’t that exciting but the views are amazing.

Is there a small silver pin that goes through it? Don’t have my axle to hand but thought there was something similar on the fox ones? Might have come dislodged

Have used a split pin from shimano pads before as the avid pins kept splitting.

Try ebay for split pins maybe
