Galfer reds have been the best mix for me. The Galfer greens are ok, but I find the feel sometimes a bit more inconsistent. Hated uberbike race matrix but that was maybe 5 years ago I last tried them.

Galfer purples get good reviews but haven’t tried yet.

The steerer tube ones apparently don’t work too well with it being metal all round it

Yes. Went from a 2016 five to one. It’s a great bike and I do everything on it and it never seems to be out of its depth. It is very very long though compared to others out there. I find it corners a lot better than the five though.

Some of the other posts from one up, pnw, transx, shimano are essentially the same. But very hard to figure out which is which! In the same boat where I’d like to change the keys on mine but can’t figure out which is which!

Hope red are galfer. The new hope green are supposedly the same as trickstuffs supplier

A couple of wraps of inner tube offcut can be used with a wrench of some sort. Wrap the tube so it’s tightening down when trying to loosen the nut.

Try turning the clamp round so the bolt is on the other side of the tube than the cut in the seat tube

have you had the hub apart? There’s a washer between free hub and hub that sometimes goes missing

I get the aura, then nausea and headache. Have been sick a few times aswell if I don’t get migraleve into me. Migraleve takes the edge off but still worse than just a headache. Takes a day or two to recover, feels a bit like a hangover for a couple of days. For me it’s stress and dehydration which are probably the main triggers. Aspartame used to trigger them aswell so have cut all sweeteners out now

Try here for the part number if you haven’t already got it. Makes searching easier. Can also order from that site

Ye I played about with volume and seemed to make the bottom out better. The main thing is how it tracks the ground. Almost as if it needs less low speed rebound, which isn’t really adjustable and just generally lacks a bit of responsiveness at times I suppose. Have played about with tyres etc so ye this is the last part of the jigsaw. Might give it a whirl

That’s normal in my experience. Also sometimes find one bolt will never come out when you try to undo it if there’s a bit too much loctite on it. I wouldn’t worry about it if it’s all done up to torque spec

Hozelock had pinhole leaks everywhere despite being stored inside.

this has been a far better upgrade for me

How do you know how much pressure drop is due to attaching a pump? Has the temperature where you store the bike changed much?

Yes replace the outer. The ends get a bit tatty where the sleeve comes away from the sheath and can lead to funny shifting

a lot of people on high horses here! Are bmw not guilty of cheating emissions criteria in the first place? I’d have a look for a Facebook group for BMWs/ 4 series

Adjustments at the headlight aren’t likely to make a huge difference. Check the sensors aren’t damaged or broken. There should be one at the front axle and one at the rear. Had a similar issue on a Skoda with xenon’s. The front sensor arm had snapped so lights pointed straight down and couldn’t see a thing

Used them before for coaching. Didn’t have to claim or anything but cover seemed to be pretty thorough

Is the fault with a sensor rather than the dpf? A lot of places recommend new pressure sensors when the dpf is cleaned or replaced

Realised years ago that aspartame seemed to flair up my eczema. Also think it might be a trigger for migraines- but not as sure on that. Avoid it in everything, had resulted in drinking more water as not much else doesn’t have it now!

We started with the crate in the bedroom (collie/sprocker cross), then slowly moved it towards the kitchen over the next week or two. Alarm set for every few hours for a toilet break and he was grand. Slowly increased time for the toilet til he slept through. First night was a bit upset but got easier. Worked for ours.

Pretty sure hope red is a galfer red, that’s with use aswell. Galfer also do a green pad which I wasn’t a massive fan of. Didn’t feel as consistent as the reds. The hope green pad seems to be made by trickstuff.

The red pads I find the best for all round performance personally

Not surprising, order grips about a month ago and never showed up. Evan’s just processed the refund yesterday. Glad I got sorted, going to be many more claims going in now!

Is TR not tubeless ready and exo the sidewall construction?

Maxx terra should be slightly grippier than maxx speed. Not sure where dual compound fits in

To be honest, don’t think I’ve ridden it on much trail centre at all. Mainly natural, steep trails where it is cracking. Never really feels like I want more travel at all.

Had a 2011 five, 2016 five now on a stage 6 evo. Absolutely cracking bike! Similar to the five in ways, but can handle a whole lot more. Even corners better!

For balance, absolutely no issues with my tech 4 e4s that I’ve had on for a few months now! Not sure if I rate the green pads though, think the reds are a better all rounder

Have a look at the bissel spot clean pro. Comes with a larger head and smaller head. It’s very good. Can’t compare to the vax but doubt they’re very different

How long until someone tells you it’s your own fault? And not happening anyone else.

It’s got really bad the last few days again. The stw video pop up is a nightmare too

Aww don’t talk. Left my Octavia in to a supposedly trained Vw mechanic to track down a coolant leak. Couldn’t find it so said just keep topping it up and it’ll be grand. Ordered myself an endoscope and tracked it down in 5 minutes to the charge cooler.

The pads aren’t actually new. Galfer have had them for years. https://www.rushcycles.co.uk/m63b0s674p9246/GALFER-Hope-Tech-3-Tech-4-E4-Race-Pro-Competition-Pads-%28green%29-FD465G1554T

I prefer the reds. The greens are a bit less predictable at times. The purples are meant to be good though and worth a try

Open the spring out. Think I’ve done that with every set of pads I’ve had to prevent the rattle

Should be able to cut with a fresh Stanley blade (if not braid) at the lever end. Then new washer and bolt it back together. The olive might need changed too. Will probably then need a bleed. Not sure what video you watched but not sure why the calliper was being touched?
