Love ours. Fitted in November and we are very happy. Comparative price to Ikea, but twice the quality.

I just remove the guard and go a close as I can without Bic’ing it. Then just use head and shoulders to keep it moisturised and stop any dandruff.

I have had Shimano freewheels last a couple of years, but others last a few months, for cheap freewheels I always go with ACS. I have two sets of Surly hubs and they are great. I now have a WI freewheel and I have serviced it twice in two years and it is ace. I’m not a huge fan of Hope hubs (I know talk like that will get me shot).
I used to have a WI Eno eccentric hub which was brilliant as well, but now I have a frame with track ends and no use for it as it caused issues wth the disc brake.

I have two gourdon 30s. I have ridden with them with little interference to my helmet. Not great with a bladder and the hip strap is not very wide, but for the money they are ace. Love all of the Alpkit gear that I have.

Sorry this doesn’t relate to the 20 specifically. I am sure some one will be along soon that can help with the sizing.

I’m bucking the trend. I have personally had a great 2011. Yes the world is shit, in large outside of my bubble, but my year has been largely good. Baby born in January, new job in July and moved house in September. Sadly soured in December with the loss of our would be second child, but I have a lot to be thankful for and 2011 has provided a lot of that.

    I have them both.
While not a vegetarian, I love Plenty, great looking book, with ace pictures and some brilliant recipes to accompany meat…

I always liked Somersets shave oil. Great stuff, much better than all the others that I tried and far better than gel, soap etc. The best bet is to always use hot water and exfoliate first.

    Great news.

My first came in January and my next is due in July. The great things will soon out weigh the things you saw last night. It just gets better from here on it.

Come out to Downham Market in Norfolk where I live. 30 minutes on the train, or 45 minute drive/ an hour during rush hour and 40% cheaper than Cambridge. I grew up in cambridge and I love it, but I love being out here, closer to the coast and Thetford.

I’m up for doing it this year, but none of my riding buddies are, anyone fancy doing it with me? I don’t fancy doing it solo…

I’ll warn you now I am slow and ride a single speed, but I will stay good humoured and bring enough sloe gin to keep us merry.

I might be on for this, SS, old and fat therefore slow, can map read which may be a bonus will be bringing decent single malt

afterall when I explain to the wife I’m going for a long weekend’s ride camping in the woods with someone off the t’internet she will not be worried

Big- You sound like my perfect partner. Although when you put it like that telling the mother of my children that I am going to sleep in the woods with a large man off the interweb may raise an eyebrow…

I am also fat and slow, I can read a map, I own a map case and compass and I got a distinction in my Instructor level survival training, so i make a good bivi.

Dave Gorman and Danny Wallace’s books, while not high brow provided lots of laughter. Often out loud on the bus.
A great book is A kind of intermacy, its a chick lit book, but after hearing the girls at work talk about it and how funny it is and clever. It was, not laugh out loud funny, but very clever and funny.

I have ridden a recumbent and it was brilliant. Super fast and super comfy, but I hear you have to learn how to ride up hills on them.

I have a set of the old style Semis that I have had for over five years and they are still as straight as the day that i bought them and I am a 110kg rider… I also have a set of Delgardos again they are ace. As good as Mavic, but that little bit cooler…

I work on what was RAF Bircham Newton, built during WW1 and used until the 60s. Amazing history, much of it now being swallowed up by nature. Makes for interesting lunch time walks to see bits most of the staff never see. We also have several ghosts, including in the squash court, somewhere I go at least twice a week to play.
Lots of great pictures and info online about it.

How tight is your chain tension? If it’s too tight you will rip through bearings and pawl springs in record time. Possibly back to being a cackhanded spannermonkey again

I am alright on the spanners. I worked spannering for a couple of shops and I do everything myself. Nothing normally causes me an issue.

Although I think it maybe as Tazzy says and it maybe my chain tension destroying them.

I have a set of the Super tacky soft compound and I like them a lot. I had Ourys and various other soft grips before. I like them a lot. They have worn quickly, but for the money they are ace. Always get great service from SS as well.

I know this is not the popularist view, but I have used SUperstar a number of times and everyone has been positive.
Prices are low = Good. Delivery is quick = Good. Items work and last= Good. Overall summery is good. But you get what you pay for in this world.

Mine is ace. Its fully racked up. Mudguards in the winter. Ridden it off road a few times on trail centres with cross tyres and its brilliant.
Ticks every box, commuter, CX, hybrid, 29er, road bike, you name it.

Morvelo for the win. Love these guys T-shirts and great service.
Sadly theuy no longer do the lucky dip, where you pay half price give your size and get whatever they find at the back of the cupboard, which was ace.

Here’s mine although it’s not singlespeed. I’ve got the spare right hand dropout with a dérailleur hanger but not the original left hand side one. I’m not desperate to sell as I’m hanging on for the Cotic 29er to become available so will need an offer good enough to make me break it. It’s definitely an 18″ frame. There are other photos in the same folder on Flickr.

Email in profile. Let me know what you would like and lets work from there. I am also happy to wait if you want to get a new frame then sell. I have wanted one for so long.

    Kona A frame on ebay

Seen that one, its been listed several times now as a complete bike and frame. Seen them sell for a lot less and it doesn’t have a disc tab.

I do quite fancy trying a Klein Mantra SS build, The Schwinn I was thinking of was the same sort of design, but I can’t remember the model.

wwaswas and flatfish, what makes the NRS a good SS FS? I bet I could get one dead cheap on the bay….

Academic publishing does not pay, it is done for kudos and respect and it looks good on your CV.
Most authours get nothing unless they are Chompsky or Lomburg.

Sadly the first time I used them I had shocking service also. I ordered two items. It turned out one was in stock one was not. i found this out a week later after they had not arrived and I had received no email. I logged on to find a message explaining the sitution.
I emailed to say please send the one in stock as it was tool I needed for a repair. I wait two more weeks before I received another email to say, thanks for my email and sorry for the delay and did I want them to send the tool that was in stock? Yes of course I did. Finally the tool arrived after 5 weeks. In future I will pay more and get it from CRC, Wiggle or my LBS.
