No issue with my XMC1200s, 3 years old now. Bad batch?

Guy I used to ride with, posted this. He’s also pathologically opposed to any cycling provision, whatsoever, that might impede a car. IMG_3544

Thanks all! Just what I wanted to hear. Everything I’ve read/enquired about has been quoting manufacturers, so indicated it was a no go.

Won’t road spacing be annoying with the narrow gaps between ratio ie you’ll have to dump three gears

Easily programmed with AXS :-) jumps between gears on DH cassette are 2 teeth anyway, so would only ever be 2 shifts.

from what I’ve read, it’s not possible to index all the gears, as the spacing is different to Eagle.

might just get a couple of cheap shimano road options to try out with an AXS eagle mech, see how we go.

That’s my next q I guess, I know folk use shimano MTB cassettes with AXS, will AXS work with Shimano road?

It’s for a DH bike. No need for big cassette, but also no need for flimsy road kit.

Doesnt look like a DH specific AXS/T Type is on the horizon either, so trying to bodge, whilst not bodging, IYSWIM.

But can I use an MTB Mech with an XPLR cassette?

You can see Sainz drifting over, Perez maintains his line. Neither are innocent, but sainz is more to blame

Ah, he hit debris from the crash.

looks more like he was mugged by Hamilton and Bearman immediately after the crash, but before the VSC

At work I sell a LOT of HP Probooks and Elitebooks. I have an Elitebook 840 and it’s lovely. Not had a single issue with any of them. Customers are moving from Dell to HP on account of build quality for a given price.

used to sell a fair bit of Lenovo, less so these days. Less so still surfaces.

You absolutely won’t be disappointed, they’re amazing brakes.

But the latest Hope ones are really, really good too, and would be just as significant an upgrade on what you have

Saddleback have just taken on distribution in the UK, and they do come into stock in Germany pretty regularly.

Has anyone got any real world experiences with the Maxima, or other Trickstuff brakes

Yep, they’re incredible. Hope Tech4V4 have caught up to Diretissimas now, but the Maxima still edges them both, power wise.

TS have a much nicer finish too, if that mean anything to you.

Objectively, there are a few options now that are 95% as good for 40% of the price, so if you are looking for good value, these aren’t it – I’d go for T4V4s – but if you really want them, you won’t be disappointed.

I imagine that they think it’s going just swimmingly…..

Largely no, but the blame for that lies squarely at the feet of remainers, and those not fully committed to the cul… sorry, cause.

    Apparently.

It’s a recruitment drive, nothing less.

Is part of it not to reinforce the cult to those already there as opposed to converting noobs? Look at the outside world and all the rejection you get from knocking on Joe public’s door, the cult welcomes you in with open arms…

I did on a custom painted set, not bothered on stock ones.

Compared to the total cost of a bike, it’s not a big cost, and the benefits whilst rarely structural, they’re more than worth it in the long run.

There is the option to have it invisiframed, at not inconsiderable expense.

What is it as a % of the total price of the bike? < 5%?

Ti stems and bars are loads heavier than the Alu/Carbon counter parts.

suposedly more comfy though. I’ve not tried Ti bars yet, but buggered if I can tell the difference in the stems.

    Do look ace though.

Only mark against SRAM for me is cost of replacements

Cassettes last aaaages though, so in the long run, there’s not much in it.

Someone kicking off in an email, copying in all and sundry, about how you’ve screwed up, worst error evah etc. You then point out (to all in the email) it was the senders error that caused the problems*

*bonus brilliantness if one of those CC’d then bollocks the sender for their wrongness.

I agree with @Chew, if Lando can’t defend from his team mate…

They’re all going to look stupid when that defence/attack is too strong, taking them both out of a race because they’ve been allowed to race. ‘Papaya rules’ will go out the window when it gets properly elbows out.

Seems all that ‘think of the rest of the season’ they were pleading with Lando in Hungary should have been ignored.
