I really like the Chamber, the cleat position is better than all my other shoes with clips. Sadly the rubber compound isn’t particularly grippy so on the flat side of my Funn Mambas it struggles somewhat and I changed the pins to give me better grip. It also weighs a ton when it’s soaking and thus another reason for this post.

Delonghi are too long/deep unfortunately. They are good we also use them at work.

Space is the issue really, I only have one space it can go and it’s exposed. 30cm depth is do able.

Thanks for the heads up on the ebay page… Do you have a link?

Be handy if people could stick these up on komoot? Or add GPX files even better🙏

Hi, see my recent post on this. I ordered Troy Lee sprint trousers in the end but there were a few suggestions.

Thanks for all the suggestions team… I’ll have a gander at some of them. A mate of mine said Makita so a decent one too FYI 👍🏻

That’s where we’ve gone… Looks like a great spec for the money and he’s bang on in the sizing.

Thanks @bruneep that discount on the XO1 was too good to turn down! Just need to source a 3mm Sram spacer and a dub BB now and I’m winning.

Welcome to digital land to me 😁

So does the upgrade kit supply the mech as well? I’ve got a XD driver on my dt240 hubs…

So my front chain ring will be compatible (it’s brand new tbh)?

Hey man, thanks for that… I was considering endura Mt500 actually. Which are you using?

The climb in question was Fremington edge. I looked at oval rings, Wolftooth (that I run) do an oval option. I wasn’t quite sure what to go with after reading that the 32t oval positive rotation is the same as a standard 34t?so I just stuck with what I am familiar with and ordered the 30t standard.

None of this would be an issue if I’d put enough time in the sadlle over the summer?! Still a full COIL (SHOCK & FORK) enduro AM9 will take some adapting too… Need to work on my 320w FTP!

Yeah, tbh I think I would be limited by the mech anyway. For ease and cost the chainring is the way forward I reckon. Cheers all!

That’s what I was thinking, I’m not miles away tbh, it only became an issue on the long techy stuff in the Dale’s recently. 30t chain ring it is!

Haha awesome! These look like a goer… Used their Goggles on the snowboard, chroma pop is mega! What’s the sizing like… Average sized melon here, medium or XL?

OK great, I was thinking the direct mount would be a better idea tbh. Thanks.

Haha… Thanks for that nickc! I concur entirely. The two forks mentions are obviously very good with advocates across the board. Think I’ll chose the one that I prefer the look of in light of this then 😊

The Bomber Z1 is a bit beefy for me, 2600g compared to lyrik 2000g and RibbonC 2250g. Although a good fork from what I read, using Fox 36 infrastructure.

I looked at the Yari ACS3 conversion but cant seem to find a 150mm Yari anywhere? They were appealing due to the 42mm offset too.

I’ll end up being predictable and going lyrik probably… Trying to find one might be a challenge tho. I hear lead times are long? Anyone seen any deals kicking about on either that might sway my decision?

Thanks for all the input 🙂

Much appreciated. I think I’m leaning that way tbh, the allure of the coil is strong though! It would be great to demo them, now there’s an idea ☺️

I use Funn Mambas on my hartail, dead handy for jumping on the bike at short notice or short rides with the kids. We do a lot of cycling and I got sick of swapping out pedals all the time and these are really versatile.

I have to agree with the comments on here though, the flat side isn’t great… I’m gonna change out the pins when I can find the miniscule pin spanner that was supplied with them! It could also be the compound of the Giro Chambers that I use tbh.

Ps WANTED Balance bike with brake 🙂

Thanks for the feedback. I’m going to try and pick up a tadpole plus on Ebay etc. I have removed the pedals on another occasion when I taught my daughter 10 years ago prior to the balance bike ethos being well established as the way forward. I don’t want to rush his development and feel he would benefit from learning to brake before the pedals are introduced. Thanks again

We spent a long weekend there last year. The parks to the north have a really nice feel and usually have something going on. Nice old craft breweries there as well, to erm… rehydrate. Jordaan I can reccomend and also get the free ferry opposite the train station over to the industrial bit… there’s a wonderful Cuban bar that often has live music on.
