Is the carbon one coming with a more premium shock? I’m holding out on the Carbon 2018 Patrol, I’d expect a Factory DHX2 or X2 Float for that kind of money.

I’m sorry but that letter has to be a troll, it reads like something from the Daily Mash.

His supporters will lap it up. Them solar gadgets will have to be made in Merca by Mercans.

Americans will only buy solar gadgets, if they’re to power the night time illuminated reticles on their combat sights.

Cuz the environment is for queers, islamists, communists and the Chinese.

For clarity (again) I think that moves to help reduce poverty world wide are a GOOD THING. At the same time I think that statement,s like the one originally, referenced from Oxfam are misleading at best and a distraction from achieving any actual reduction in addressing the wealth gap.

There have been plenty of valid criticisms of the ONS/World bank data as well….

I trolled the Guardian once after taking inspiration from Quagmire.

    https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2010/nov/25/sexual-healing-no-sex-retaliation

“I don’t know, Peter. If you have sex with her, you give her all the power. If you don’t have sex with her, you’re gay. You can’t win.” – Quagmire

To this day, I like to wind up my oldest friend, a marxist Oxford graduate by telling him I got published in the Grauniad before he did.

Is it worth separating quality trolling with just being a **** prick?

This. Most people do not appreciate the art of a good troll.

Lovely attitude there oldtalent, so 42 people hold as much wealth as the worlds poorest 3.7 billion people. 3.7 billion people lack the ambition to escape the vicious cycle of developing world poverty, that those billionaires exploit for higher overheads?

could the world sustain it if the wealth was shared more evenly and billions more could afford

Yes, because we’d be consuming less due to price rises. The developing worlds birth rate would also plummet given better opportunities.

The people who object to a more equitable world are usually scumbag social darwinists who view the rest of the world through colonial tinted lenses.

Raping and pillaging was once normal as well, doesn’t mean we should go back to the days of Ghengis Khan because…. history.

And the less religious a country is the more advanced, civilised and nice it is.

*sigh* More lazy, tired, boring half arsed opinion, you are conflating correlation with causation. Religiosity drops as a response to improved living standards as religion is often used as a way of coping with austere environments.

World leaders all agree to eradicate religion as it’s no longer relevant in an age where humanity accepts it generates far more harm than good.

Sounds like Authoritarianism. So you would be replacing one god, with the state or a human god.

“The sick in soul insist that it is humanity that is sick, and they are the surgeons to operate on it. They want to turn the world into a sickroom. And once they get humanity strapped to the operating table, they operate on it with an axe.”

Until world leaders talk about overpopulation

Don’t you mean overconsumption? Because the planet can support dozens of brown people for every white person.

Good to see that Ninfan, enfht etc support logical, rational discourse from “experts” when it supports their own worldview. It makes a change from some of them accusing experts of being part of the “liberal elite”, eg scientists, economists, lawyers and just about anyone who disagrees with them.

We also had sort of more broadly learned that Mr. Trump had long time
associations with Italian organized crime figures. And as we pieced together the
early years of his biography, it seemed as if during the early part of his career he
had connections to a lot of Italian mafia figures, and then gradually during the
nineties became associated with Russian mafia figures.

    LOL :D

Perhaps, but then one would assume that works both ways. Unless lots of ugly women are dating pretty men.

If a small number of men are a lot ‘better’ than the majority, this would be perfectly reasonable.

I believe attractiveness follows a normal distribution.

Did you mean the Qin?That one was close to just a switch in power but then you have the three Kingdoms etc after that.
It just seems a rather rose tinted view of things to simplify it into just China.
But anyway enough derailing of this thread.

No, the Qin and Qing are two different dynasties.

The west is no longer outpacing the east so vastly in terms of technology that we are able monopolise the world economy through colonialism. The whole of the far east is in a period of rapid growth – the share of the east’s GDP is going to dwarf ours based on sheer population once the economic re-balance is over. Western economic and technological prowess was literally a blip, a few hundred years – with most of the rest of history dominated by the East.

Our foreign policy and cultural attitudes towards our place in the world need to change in response to that shift, or we will be left behind – staring up our own arseholes (eg Brexit).

Yeah the weight thing is being addressed, not old enough/gentically impared enough to be balding

A lot of chubby guys seem to do pretty well with women anyway, best advice is to have an upbeat demeanour….hit the gym for sure….but kind of get over the weight issue mentally…do not ruminate on it. People are attracted to happy people. Work on that.

A slightly chubby friend of mine has pulled a drop dead gorgeous woman who is an inch taller than him, because he is a hoot to be around.

I know 99% of my failure is how I look currently but trying to sort that out and then hopefully have a bit more success but some people get past that but run a mile when finding other things out about me…

    * Hit the gym

    * If balding, short cropped hair.

    * Get to a place where you are happy with yourself and your life. Have interests, don’t make dating your priority.

Everything else will just naturally fall into place.

The Mongols were pretty good at trade….howver the two datapoints are 1000 and 1500. The Mongol invasion lasted under a century and occurred around 1200. Also remember that “share of GDP” doesn’t equate to total GDP. Whilst the mongol invasion was kicking off, Indias share was also dropping.

I’m not sure why the Americas are not including – but it might have something to do with the continent having very little bearing on the global economy at that time – whilst China, India and Europe were all heavily linked through trade.

What is clear is that the east dwarfed the west for a long long time – and that balance is being restored. Trying to deny that just seems to be attempt to bury ones head in the sand.

No it really isnt. Its stating that under Roman rule Britain was Roman and not an unbroken line to today.

Taking this approach fails to appreciate how China has always been a multicultural society. For example the Qing dynasty was founded by the Jurchen but arguably held together by the Han. At the end of the day, it was still China.

Just stop trying to date British chavs ffs, find some classy French or Italian woman instead. Spoof your phones geolocation to some nice warm country with mountain biking.

this gives my some insignt to how picky the women are being looking at my picture (very breifly before swiping left)

    Get the odd (probably accidental) match that either goes;
I say something, get ignored or I say something, they respond with maybe a few messages then ignore me (probably after they look at my picture more closely)

Women on dating apps rate about 80 percent of men below average.

Make of that what you will.

I’ve had it twice, first time was really nasty – walked into an NHS walk-in clinic and the doctor was surprised that I walked myself in.

The 2nd time wasn’t so bad (eg I couldn’t feel my own lungs bubbling away when I breathed to anywhere near the same degree), it just when on for ages.

It seems to skip over lots of minor details in history though such as the mongols etc.

This is a bit like saying the British aren’t British because of the Romans, China is Han dominated now – but the geographical region of China itself has always been a mix of various clans, ethnicities and dynasties vying for power of the state. That doesn’t detract from the fact that the region itself has always held enormous power, despite whoever is governing it.

Here’s a nice graph showing why it was a really spiffingly clever idea to leave the EU and lower our negotiation power.

Note how that between 1-1000AD China held twice the share of GDP than Western Europe and would have made Anglo Saxon Britain on it’s own look like the medieval equivalent to the Congo.

Rhetoric about Mexicans (and immigrants in general), Muslims and the colour of passports don’t address the fundamental problems of an economy that’s run out of steam having been on borrowed time since the banking crisis.

It’s been on borrowed time since the end of western colonialism. China is reasserting itself as it’s natural position as the most powerful trading entity in the world – a title it has held for thousands of years. The west being dominant was a minor hiccup, we’ll be a backwater state at the mercy of Chinese economic hegemony given time.

Nahhhh, it’s just rammed into you not long after birth.

Bet you’d get triggered if we banned parents from forcing religion on their children from an early age though. You’d come on here and rant something about the “Nanny Socialist State” “The Homosexual Agenda” and “Teachers”. :D

You are right Mefty, it’s likely not to be down to currption – ideology played a key role. The comoany will likely go under, or be broken up over the next few years. Creat were blocked from purchasing a US based plasma manufacturer due to national securuty concerns and now we risk not having our own supply of plasma. The marke for plasma is increasing becoming dominated by a few international players.

Even though that company increased output by 58%, they are still only just breaking even.

gov sold its majority share to bain capital (mitt romneys company) for £200m

    So I was generally right?

That company is barely making more money than it was durung its 1st year under Bain. My feelings are that it was heavily undervalued if was sold for 200m. I reckon that land they have is worth half that value in itself, considering the amount of residential work going on in the area.

Yeah, my recall was wrong, they invested 100 mil…. they did not aquire it for 100 mil.

Do we really want or need hospital beds, prisons, school dinners, probation services, school groundskeepers, forensics etc outsourced

Our strategic Plasma production facility was sold off under Cameron, to a company founded by Wolfowitz. Cameron was then looking to take or did take a job in that investment group, one year later the plasma company was sold to a chinese firm for 10x what the government sold it for. Who says the UK isn’t corrupt?

The company is still not profitable.
