@flyingmonkeycorps I’m the same, around 35ish waist. I’ve gone for the large to be on the safe side.

@the-muffin-man I’d read that a lot of the covid tests don’t detect the new strain. Not sure if it’s fact or not, but it could be why it’s not showing.

I don’t recommend installing fire rated plasterboard on a 3.6m high ceiling whilst suffering from the effects of this latest strain!

Feeling better today, general aches and pains and a cough. My kidneys aren’t aching as much either, which is nice.

Tidy! Sleepers could do with a coat of paint, though…. ?

Edit : I see smilies are still broken!

I’ve had it for the last 10 days. Started off as a normal cold, then 2 nights of either pissing the bed or sweating buckets. Cough, lung stuff, hot/cold etc. Hopefully on the tail end of it now but no energy still, and aching joints. Sucks.

Edit: deffo didn’t piss the bed!

I’ve got the pnw plastics on my full sus, and cheap nukeproof plastics on my hardtail. I think the plastic nukeproof ones are my favourite to be honest. Still knocking about on ebay for cheap enough.

Early ride this morning. Rained for most of it, but had to stop to take the 1st, as in person it was pretty special.

Nope, as much as I love my hardtail bike, and enjoy riding it… compared to the same ride on my fs, your body lets you know!

I was excited for it, but it clashes with a family get together. Sad times.

Where abouts are you, smiffy? I’ve got a haynes manual somewhere if you’re near Hastings. If not they’re cheap on ebay.

Had to do the same to my fil’s clubby gt. New battery and fuel (siphoned out the tank and flushed out the rest) and it fired up. Rear drums had siezed, so jacked up, took wheel off and used a pry bar on the studs to get them free again. It’d been stored for about 3 years, but in a damp garage.

Did all the normal checks before hand, plugs, points etc. The joys of them being basic!

My money is on a gentle remark about a new bathroom or kitchen within a couple of days. Perhaps respond to that by raising the prospect of a new patio to replace the decking

That’s my day job, and we’ve done the kitchen and bathroom in the last few years, and the decking was last summer.

    Molgrips must be right!

Trail breaks SDW ride yesterday. Did the long route with my mate, the hills just kept on coming! Views when we could look up were special, though!

Everyone will have their favourites, and dislikes.

Most of our tools are dewalt, they’re decent, and last a good while being abused daily for work. We stick with the brand, as it makes sense given we’ve got loads of the batteries.

My electrician swears by makita, and my plumber only uses milwaukee.

Having tried all 3 brands, I’d happily use any of them in the future, if i had the batteries.

I’ve had a few stanley fatmax tools, and they’re not at the level of dewalt in my opinion. Jigsaw, circulaw saw and sds drill, all wore out pretty quickly with regular use. I’d say they felt diy+.

I’d shop around for deals, and settle on a range from there.

I loved both games, and played the snot out of both of them. But PD was just better for me. The multiplayer was so much fun. Laptop guns hidden in sneaky places was always hilarious.

Having your mates all in the same room to game was special. Online multiplayer is still fun, but for me you can’t beat having people physically with you. I’ve got a phantom dead leg just thinking about it!

We grew up pretty poor, but there was always salad cream in the cupboard. We’d put it on whatever was otherwise too dry or plain.

I still once in a while put a splodge of it on a few dry crackers, which was one of my faves at the time.

Even the normal price is cheap! Can’t beat dowsil 785, in my opinion.
