I have sold cars for more than £6k on autotrader no problem at all, plenty of people won’t buy cars from dealers (me included). I wouldn’t rule out trade in, I know of people that have been offered more for a car than they were planning to sell privately, Honda Jazz, the dealer had someone waiting for one to come in.

Nowt wrong with a diesel civic (I’ve got one!), have you considered a divorce instead?

Gust a thought, what happens if it gets damaged on its return leg????

I’ve had the same issue with some computer parts, they got returned as a pin had got bent in transit (only 1), whe I got it back it was completely buggered.

I had some mavic ones back in the day, lasted less then a week in the lakes. It wasn’t the braking surface that failed!

Legacy spec b estate is the more elegant solution to your problem. Just as thirsty, but much nicer inside.

Why not just buy a proper charger? Use the ammo box for storing small arms rounds.

I ordered on the other day, advised delivery date is 4weeks early than the website suggested. I will have to see if they is what really happens though. If I was in a hurry of a new bike I would get something in stock (trigger carbon probs).

There are a lot of foods that taste crap if you cook the badly, eggs for example. I don’t get the hate for the spout, after all it’s only a small cabbage.

Canyon spectral 8.9 and spend £900 on something else. I’ve just ordered one delivery prob mid January, so I need to start saving a bit quicker than I had envisaged!

If I have a windfall I would swap the frame out for a following, that looks epic.

How come the SC Tallboy gets great reviews and the canyon get slated for being too short/steep, despite being longer and slacker that the tallboy?

You can recycle failed good bikes into normal crap bikes, common practice on places such as eBay.

I’m not really fussed by what’s “in vogue”, I generally only ride at night on my own so only doggers ever see me!

Speed and fun are what I’m interested in.

That kinda what I though, but them I am cynical to marketing bs and the fact any tests of these types of bikes are typically done in the Alps of BPW, where I don’t live.

Basically I ride a Scott scale 29er ATM and while it’s a good bike, it isn’t rad enough for my liking. I am not after a downhill bike as most of the trails I ride a fairly tame, I just want something that I can get airborne on without quite so much puckering!

Some subarus have a bit of the screen that heats the windscreen wipers. Much better than the dreadful Ford screens, the wires do my eyes in.

Fenwicks concentrate way cheaper than muc off. Just mix it to the level required. Works well on the entire bike, drivetrain included

    This ^^^^^^^^

£1 more than 1l of muckoff, but makes 10l, also great concentrated for drivetrain.

Ducksmark mudslider(????) stops the s***t sticking in the first place. No scrubbing required.

Does heart rate actually relate to performance?

I recently started using an HRM, I am pretty slow on the bike, may max was 195 and my resting pulse is 40-45 (I am 36). Theoretically these are pretty good figures and I do most of my riding at zone 4+, still not very fast!

Physiologically my heart must have quite good stroke, and my blood must be carrying sufficient oxygen, otherwise my resting HR would be high. This combined with the relatively high max I should be awesome………..unfortunately this doesn’t seem to translate to reality 😥

Leave at 6:15, home at 17:30 same 1-2 Saturday’s a month (commute by bike so less time at work). I only get paid for 40 hours.

Currently trying to relocate our workplace to a unit next to the local woods only 10min from home!
