One that won’t bite your kids face off. My sister has had two of here kids bitten by the grandparents family friendly dogs. I wouldn’t get too hooked up on the breed, just rememeber you can never really trust a dog with small children.

We had a novascotian duck tolling retriever rescue with our eldest and she was great, but I still wouldn’t trust her.

The main advantage of being a cash buyer is that you can approach private sellers. It’s very difficult to sell a two year old car for decent money privately – people wanting cheap motoring buy older used cars and pretty much everyone else either wants a brand new car or dealer facilities like finance / warranty.

    Here is the answer.

Spare ones you have lying around for me! I doulbt you will be shredding much gnar, so some light xc ones should suffice. I a running some stans arch ex 29 on xt hubs with spacers. Single speed rear hub would obviously be preferable, but less versatile.

Another reason not to buy a diesel VW, just in case anyone needed another.

Stem, grips, 11-42 cassette. Otherwise pretty fine machine (mines an 8.9). Might try some offset bushes though.

Most of the rides I do I “can” ride on any of my bikes (cx, ht singlespeed, 130mm 29er)’ the average speed is nearly always about the same, the speed for a given section is significaly different. There is. A lot to be said for being on the wrong bike, nothing like getting down a sketchy decent on a cross bike.

I think that related to the vulcanised version, the open ones would be very difficult to mount. Try a latex tube? I am tempted to get some at that price, as I was looking at some chicanes for my cross bike.

Trek also, I don’t know why but perhaps their marketing department could spend some time looking into it rather than concetrating on making my bikes obsolete.

    Aldi (love Lidl though)

Sell some old crap parts and make a big deal about it whenever anything sells, buy a new bike as parts it in a more low key way.

I tried accumulating a bike fund by doing some bike mechanics for mates, unfortunately this backfired when she got wind of a fund and decided to spend it on the family. Aparenly if I can afford to spend X in a new bike/parts I much have that much spare, so for every £1 I spend I need to spend £1 on the family.

£450 is very cheap, you must have “saved” a fortune.

It was one of their packs, I tried fixing it before I thought about sending it back.

I’ve had several welded pack die due to the protection curcuits getting wet, just got 2 solarstorm boxes and swapped out the cells from one of the packs, and put some torchy ones in the other. I have also removed the USB lead and shortened the main lead. These zip tied to the bottle cage are great, and seem to be more waterproof!

Check out retro bike and search the ads for something similar.

I’ve got the 3.0 spec b and it gets around 27mpg most of the time so reckon the 2.0 should do somewhat.

How on earth do you manage that? I got 28mpg once on a long (slow) run down a dual carriageway, average for 2 1/2 years of ownership was 19mpg. Great car though. My inlaws bout ha diesel Honda car at the same time (same age and mileage), they sold it at the same time as I sold by spec b and they lost £6k more in depreciation. Puts the 19mpg into perspective!

A spectral will probably be too small.

Ferry across from sandbanks to the purbecks, lots of great stuff there. Puddletown Forrest is good for some home made trails, wash am forest is ok if you know where to look. Also not far to the new forest, not sure if that will be you cup of tea though.

So plenty really. Check out Dorset Rough Riders, they seem to do quite a few group rides etc.

I’ve got a 2013 Scott Scale 960 and have stuck a carbon Travers fork on (and Jones loop bars).
I’m loving it. I also have a full suss but for just general milling about and local xc, it’s great.
I’m more cautious as i’m aware of the limitations on the bike but most established tracks near me are relatively smooth so I don’t find the lack of suspension too much of an issue. Bike’s pretty light now as well.

Exactly what I have in mind for mine, how do you find the reach with the Jones bar? Mine is a medium, so on the short side for me.

I’ve got a solastorm x6 on the bars with a small Chinese torch on my lid. I have a torchy 18650 battery for the torch, and a mtb batteries 4pack for the other. Also chargers from torchy and a hope mount of the bars. I will be getting a Diablo mk7 if the helmet/cx duties though.

Batteries from eBay cheapies are a waste of time, unless you enjoy the excitement of being stranded in the dark.

Next time don’t buy an Audi, I had the same issue with mine. Intermittent air leak fault, cleared the fault and prepared to sell it cheap it it gets picked up.

If your mileage is less than about 20k I would go for a car allowance. You then pay tax on the allowance as if it were salary, and claim mirage at an agreed rate (currently 11p per mile). This give you more freedom if you want an older car or one with high CO2. I get £5200 pa and lease a new car with a list price of £33k well within this.

Shirley it’s always a race. I once came 4th in a mass start mtb sportive, no one else appeared to be racing, but it was still a race. I didn’t brag about if afterwards, so does that mean I am not a bellend?

DC is a spineless cretin. He made the mess an should stick around and take the heat while it gets sorted.

I had slightly more faith in the public, obviously they are more bigoted xenophobes than I had anticipated.

    + 1 for a G7x, I have mk1 and it’s great. Nicer UI than the Sony IMHO.
