    Honest John says 68mpg.

Mitsubishi recon 158! I don’t know anyone who gets better than 34, quite a difference. Also about 6 miles range on electric only, so if your commute is that short you would be better off cycling anyway.

Does anyone know how much a new battery is for one of these hybrids costs?

Subaru just need to get better at fiddling the emissions for their petrol engines and bring in a 2.0 levorg, I would then be pursuaded back to proper fuel. As it is with the mileage I do anything petrol is much more expensive to run.

The problem is tax policy. It’s crazy that you need to have loads of batteries and motors just to pay less tax. A Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV does 150 odd MPG and about 50g/km, yet when actually driven on a road gets 15MPG less than my Diesel X-trail. How does that make any sense!

People do seem to forget that the pollution caused making a new car is quite significant. Perhaps we should all drive 2cv’s? Oh no, the tax would be too expensive!

I’m glad Rosberg has retired. JB back to Mercedes would be good, or take a punt on someone from GP2/formula renault 3.5?

My son came up with a new one today; ruderise (to make a song ruder that was originally intended). I though that was quite good for a 6 year old.

I got quoted £30k for mine (Victorian semi, no extra bathroom). I did it myself for about £12k.

Shounds like the management reward effort over output, this is very unfortunate and will result in reward of inefficiency. This is an increasing isssue as everyone is in a race to be always busy (busy fools IMHO). Don’t tolerate being shouted at, just ask to take up the conversation once they can be civil. All my team get paid overtime and I don’t “make them” do any, as such they are generally all willing to chip in if it is required (deadlines/crisis/leave cover). Unless your friend is management level and on good money I would advise they look elsewhere.

Not been since 97′ it was good then, we had over 1m of snow, although this can be hit and miss. It was ridiculously cheap though, we could eat out with wine for under £5! Taxis are rather scarey though, vodka+taxi+snow 😯

Trouble is it will always be an Audi. I’d go with the BMW or get another spec b legacy and spend my money of bikes.

I’ve got some Logitech laptop speakers with a subwoofer in my shed, the misses texts me to turn it down from the house about 100ft away. Not great if you are moving around though.

In the US they sometimes carry mace for when encountering dogs! Personally I think “hello” is more polite.

I thing putting your tounge between your teeth and bottom lip and saying “special relationship” pretty much sums up the future of this relationship.

Pickups drive even less like cars, but do oversteer comically. A rack is what you need.

Dartford crossing does this, bit like the congestion charge for payment. So long as it’s cheaper I am in, nearly £15 in a van!

Diablo is great as a helmet mount. I have mine on 3/1hr which is ample. 1hr is plenty for techie bits.

I just got a cheap car inflator (about £6), a double headed track pump hose/head (lying around in the shed), and a 1/4″ hose tail adaptor. Just unscrew the existing hose, screw on the hose tails and attached the new hose with a jubilee clip. Mine is ace, does any sort of valve and even has a bleed button.

    Machine mart is your friend.

Your bike is nearly retro, so will be worth a fortune soon. In other news, you now need to take two helmets on a ride with you and will be taken more seriously if you ride/push your bike uphill with your kneed pads around your ankles. I know is sounds rediculous, but this is apparently progress!

If you fancy a new bike 29er are still actually best 😉
