Yeah really good off piste trails there. Didnt think much of the original way marked routes but the new ones may be better. Doing the dyfi made me realise how good that place is though. A nice little town too with good shops and decent pubs and nant down the road is immense too. If I was you I would try to get the dyfi route off somebody. It must have been gps’d.

I disagree. Steve peat could be sponsored by anyone and it would sell well. He is renowned as being a massive character, a top bloke and killer on anything with wheels. You need people with different styles. You need the laid back racer type, the person who busts a gut everyday training to be number one, etc etc. Every single person you sponsor needs to bring something different to the table.

Lllanberis descent is really good. Worth the climb and in all honesty the climb is really fun too. It’s nice and technical and you can probably ride about 75%. We only got off on the steps and as you go under the railway bridge, the gradient gets very steep.

I’m in the same situation. Then I ended up riding a haro mary and bloody loved it. If you look for a Mary and you are anywhere around 5ft11 get a medium.

It should work I have done it in the past with old 9 speed dura ace. I have got campag chorus shifters with a 105 front mech at the moment which works ace. The campag shifters do have smaller and more index’s.

£60 and they are yours, can get you some pictures, if you want to google search them they are the ones off the Scott CR1 in black and white, with a small bit of yellow.. They have a long steerer.

    Cheers

Alpina forks are dirt cheap and good quality, if your buying new, they are a a little on the heavy side.

The thing with carbon road forks now is that you can buy them so cheap. Some of the pairs on ebay go for nothing, you just have to be persistent. Most are really durable as well but I would go for an aluminium steerer if it’s going on a hack.

Eastons are the best quality and most durable ones I’ve come across lately.

I have a pair of carbons off a scott CR1 for sale. What is your price range?
