What’s soggy biscuit? I don’t really get stag do stuff tbh…..I went to watch Steve Reich in concert at the RNCM last year for mine with my best man-top night!

One of my biggest inspirations on Bass. I played a version of ‘A Portrait of Tracy’ on the radio last week.

I’m not really sure how these things work, but wouldn’t it have been better for Scotland to play a series against Argentina rather than one game against a weakened Aussie team and the Fiji etc? Seems a shame for them not to have a decent summer tour.

I haven’t paid for a mortgage advisor, have borrowed 83k and will be paying about £390 a month-4% interest rate. Should be sorted in a couple of weeks time.

The BCB60 I’m using has probably done at least 50 gigs and a friend of mine is using the 1000 (10 pedal) version of your Behringer one and has probably clocked up 100 gigs with it.

4 pages in an hour….good effort folks!

The same amount of time that it takes to bleed a brake (if you’re charging by the hour that is)

We had the place valued, and were told that it would be marketed by an estate agent at about 10k more than we’re paying…..6 months ago an identical house 6 doors down sold for exactly what we’re paying for ours (that one need decorating though, ours doesn’t). As for looking at other places, we have looked a little, but nothing was anywhere near as big as what we’ve got for the price…..

Now now, play nicely please :-)

Back to the Giro and todays sprint, do we think that Cav would have come around Goss had he not been taken down? Touch and go I’d say as he was a little way down although he hadn’t really propely opened up before he was brought down.

Ferrari relegated to last on the stage….think he finished 9th? An Italian sprinter was never really going to get booted off the race before it had reached Italy though. Stage 4 is a TTT but expect him to cop some abuse in the peloton on stage 5!

Phinney eventually scraped himself off the tarmac and made the podium for the Pink Jersey presentation…..ice pack on his ankle but at least it doesn’t seem to be broken. Very stupid move by Ferrari.

    Pro Cyclists are proper nutters!!!!

    My current guitar rig is Boss TU3>Crybaby Wah>Boss OD20>Boss DD6. On a bcb60 board

My current bass rig (for live dubstep/dnb/electronica) Boss TU3>Digitech Whammy IV>Joyo Dynamic Comp>Behringer bsy600 with expression pedal>Tone Factor Fuzz Saw>Source Audio MWBD>Source Audio BEF with Hot Hand>Boss DD6>Boss NS2. Soon to be added are a switching system a line 6 M9 and a Boss OC2.

Op, I have a Boss CH1 for sale cheap if you didn’t get the one offered earlier in the thread……I’d also recommend Boss delays as they sound amazing. For just two pedals, I’d still go for individual stompboxes rather than a multieffects-you need to spend a lot of money to get a decent sound one imho.

haha I think to be a big hitter I would need to read more than the first page and the last few comments on the thread though…….and to defend my black and white clear cut stance on the matter by posting it every 5 minutes or so, on the off chance that someone had missed it :-)

Not read much of this thread…….binners hits the nail on the head after 7 post imo.

Am i allowed to post on this thread as a non big hitter though?

Lol at people comparing rochey’s 60 miles ride average to the overall average of the TdF winner……isn’t the TdF slightly longer than 60 miles overall and don’t they do a bit of climbing at some point too?

As people have said above though, that average suggests a pretty fast E12 race. Then again the pros will average 30mph for 200miles on a flat TdF stage…..

Have a read of Electronic and Experimental Music by Thom Holmes, not tons of stuff about the Minimoog, but enough and it will give you a good context to work within-you certainly wont find such good information on the web.

kingkong that is a fookin wicked picture! Consider this, Cav was quicker than the winner of L’Etape (which was won by a recent pro and plenty of UK pros rode it too) on the corresponding Tour stage. I know that he had the benefit of the bunch to shelter in, but whilst he isn’t a ‘climber’ by Pro Tour standards he is still immense.

When he rode the Tour of Britain last, he was one of about 20 or so riders that forced the selection on the relatively hilly second stage around staffordshire-the rest, including all but a couple of domestic pros just couldn’t handle the pace. As others have said, you don’t get up the Poggio and win MSR without being a bit special!

Fuuny thread this! I’m a fan of the band, but think that Axl Rose is a complete ****…..love his voice on the recordings, but the live performances that I’ve heard were pretty dire……and for the record, Slash is in the top handful of guitarists around.

Forgive me, my previous post was a little rude! Like you say, we all like different things….I race xc and find it a brilliant training route (there are some very fast riders who train using it too!) I find it quite enjoyable all the way around tbh. I can see why people would be disappointed if they were expecting huge decents in the mould of the 7 Staines etc, but lets be realistic…..its in bleedin Cannuck!

I’m right handed, kick a ball with a right foot and ride with my left foot as lead. I often struggle on really tight right hand switchbacks, at speed I’m probably equally crap either way. Go figure.

Scotland has way better riding than Wales, so if we’re going to suggest inappropriate places with poor access, then we should at least start with the best :-)

Are all the people on here that say that the course isn’t up to scratch/in the wrong place the same dullards that post the exact same tosh on the Bike Radar threads etc?

Its Elite XC racing at the London Olympics, not fat pseudo middle class IT workers walking round anything uphill/technical at a trail centre.

Christ that stamping on the head stuff in whatever video I’ve just watched was sickening! Each to their own and all that (my sister went to watch UFC or something recently) but it really does make me feel physically sick to watch.

Any history of fighters dying/ending up as vegetables?
