Great event as usual thanks to the team for organising it.

I stalled in that pond above and my bike floated away!

Route is rocky, slatey and muddy in places.

I’m running about 8psi in the front and 35 in the rear ;-)

I’d slap a compact road chainset on. My cx bike has 53:39 and is a struggle on some off road parts.

The neo motos and the nevgals in 650b drag compared with the RR. The RR are also a lot lighter, I run mine tubeless with no issues. Looking forward the the nobby nics next year as I’d be nice to ride the 650b’s in muddier conditions too!

I don’t think it’s in the portes du Soleil route but the mountain in the pic (I think they’re called something teeth) you’ll see from the top of the Moisettes lift just in Switzland.

Nobby Nics would be fine there after this weather, you’ll never need a full mud tyre in the FOD

If FOD wins, I’ll break out the singlespeed with the bendy bars and give you a shout

No worries, if you think you’d keep up I’d even bring a bike with gears on :-)

Unless your shown round by one of those types you’ll not see them.
They’re too busy riding walking down all the trails the full suss mincers can’t find trail fairies make because they’re more than a mile from the carpark.following Keef

Keef’s a first class mincer and should really be in a 30sp FS skillz compensator with a full suit of body armour.

Cannock is winning then because I don’t want to bump into anyone riding some kind of bendy tubed, fat tyred, singlespeed freak bike

Fair point I suppose enjoy Cannock ;-)

Cannock sucks, even the locals stuff!
FOD is so much better but you have to know where to go. Mind you if you just followed your nose from the cycle center and don’t cross any roads there’s miles of singletrack in that enclosure which is better than Cannock. Only issue with the FOD now they’ve opened the Verderers trail its starting to get full of trailmincers with armour that can’t ride for sh**e and the only thing they can do is make braking bumps.

    LOL, its in Worcestershire ;-)
Theres enough there to keep you entertained for a few hours anyway. Big climb to get up there then rolling terrain once on top. We tend to go up and down a few times to make it more interesting.

    Enjoy

It’d help if you knew which county it was in :-)

It’s OK, not worth driving far for but if its on your doorstep it’ll make a good 1/2 days riding
