There’s a list of compatible forks on mtbr 650b page iirc

I converted my Spot Brand SS to 650b and it’s ok but not as good as my Independent Fabrication 650b. Trouble converting a 26er into 650b is the standover gets higher as does the bb. This made the Spot feel very tall, still ok but I wouldn’t go to the expense of changing another 26er again..

This year my cost were as follows

Chalet £700
Insurance £140 for the 2 of us for 12 months multi trip
Liftpass £75ish
Food, drink etc extra

The wife was riding until the Tuesday when she binned it then chilled out the rest of the week. Not a great deal to do there for a week unless you’re riding.

We were going to do the Alp to Coast ride but unfortunately we had 3 of the group crash and dislocate elbow, ankle and shoulder and another 2 binned it and were bruised so just left me fighting fit so didn’t do it in the end.

There were a few girls who worked in that bar and as the wife was with me I didn’t get any names :-)

Yeah stayed in the hotel, based on allo allo :-) it rained on the Sat evening and Monday morning dampened down the dust nicely!

I love riding mine! Had it since November and run 2 sets of wheels, road and cx. Great bike ime.

LOL, he was so shocked at winning it was great! They messed the course up so decided the first number board out of the box was declared the winner!

Cheers mate, yeah Mandi rode the French leg of the holiday then binned it on the 3rd day in Italy, simple mistake which ended in Hospital then spent the rest of the week chilling out. She was pretty Pished at not being able to ride then missing out on the Italian SS too :-( Yeah usual stuff and Andy from Edinburgh won! He had the tattoo today I believe!!

I take it you don’t like Rapha stuff either!? :-)

jambaaya thanks for the reply, we’ve ridden some stuff over Chatel way and liked it so want to try and spend our time over there this time around. We’ve got a chalet in Les Linderets so easy access to that side of things.

Cheers for a top day out despite binning it and writing off my hand and 18-200mm lens! Been to A&E to get cleaned up and have to go back Tuesday for dressings to be removed!

Its going to go off in the Pyrenees today I feel, I’m sure Mr. Wiggins will keep things in check and not worry too much. TT on Sat will allow him to regain any lost time today and tomorrow.
If Evans goes too early I think he’ll bomb out again, he just doesn’t have it this year. Nibali seems to have a great kick but doesn’t seem able to keep it up for long, I guess with a dh finish if Nibali kicks just before the top of the last climb he’s a good chance of descending to the end and gaining a bit on Froome, I’m sure he’ll not take the yellow though.

My white grey ESI’s are comfortable but always dirty :(

tollah didn’t need a chest mount he rested it on his wok -runs away fast and hides.

Ahem……….That’s what helps me with momentum on the descents BH
