Don’t normally diss an event but all I can see is that they charged an entry fee and spent it on a tee shirt and a pair of socks, the rest must have gone towards the trails?? However it gave us a focal point for all of us to meet up and enjoy the fantastic local atmosphere and stunning trails.

And just for the record I’ve ridden the Q’s a fair bit locals stuff and well known stuff yeah it’s ok but it’s not all that.

I ride with either a 400d ir 30d couple if lenses and remote flash stuff all chucked in my rucksac. I’ve had an off the back moment landed on my 400d and 10mm lens, camera fine but the lens has a small amount of damage, nothing major. That’s 1 off in around 5 years of carrying the stuff that’s resulted in any damage.

Q’s have some good spots but if you think they’re awesome then that’s ok but there’s much better riding around.

Your spoke probably snapped as you had to ride it up your drive Stu and that is Tarmac, that well known gnarly surface they use for 29ers to ride on. :roll:

I just can’t imagine why the Forestry Commission and the land owners from around the country aren’t up in arms with all the 29er wheels left by the side of the trail after they fall apart or explode everywhere :roll:
