Hi All.Sorry for the late news and I appreciate your concern. After 28 hours of riding and literally one more hill to go, frustratingly I had to call an end to the ride.This was because of logistical and practical issues combined with horrendous weather

Forks should be as hard as you can get them but with the rebound off for maximum bounce.
Wheel size, I’ll be using a 26″ on the front and a 650b on the rear however I’ll not be racing just riding parts of the course to take the photos ;-)

I’ll be using a Surly Larry on the front and a racing Ralph on the back.

Having just come back from SSUK, where the course was somewhat “claggy”,I need to get a decent bike washer.

Me too but took my Dirt Worker so had a shower whilst there and managed to get most of the clagg off of the bike! It works best when the mud is still wet.

Try riding through dog crap with a fatfront, that’s nearly enough to make me want to give up riding all together. And just for the record my dog used to attend some trail centres but only on quiet weekdays after a good turnout :-)

If I recover from yesterdays Dutch SS champs I’ll be along, not sure whether I’ll be able to ride a bike by then though.

Got some superb cheese made by Chimay, Mardsous and some Brugge cheese along with a keg of Hoegaarden should see the KõN cheese party alreet.

Heading over to Holland in the morning to ride the Dutch Singlespeed Champs weathers not looking too bad over there :-)

I rode Mabie last night SS with fatfront and it was great fun. Ridden all of the Stanes apart from Innerleithen SS and geared, SS for me is more fun.

Urge is a fine helmet not warm when riding but cooks when you stop as theres no air flow.
