Both countries are stunning even the cities are nice! However Norway has to be the most expensive place I’ve ever been. Paying up to £13 for a beer! I bought a Come and a Mars bar last year £9! If you’re there for a month your £1k saving won’t last long.

Check out James at FODMTBGUIDES book him for the day and you’ll find some sweet stuff that you’ll never find on your own.
Here’s a short video of us cocking about today in the woods. Although he followed me down this trail.

POC are the only pads I’ve ever been able to wear whilst pedaling, all the others I’ve had over the years I’ve had to remove for the pedalling parts of the day.

Having a FS, Fat Bike and a hard tail amongst other bikes I will always go for the fat bike over the others, on saying that it’ll depend on where you live/ride. I take my FS out on DH type days or the Alps but general riding it has to be the fat bike every time. The worst bit about the fat bike is all the stupid questions and people seem to think you only ride it for attention. Load of crap, they’re just so much fun to ride if you’re fit enough to ride it properly.

I guess you got to ask yourself what type of riding do you want to do and go test ride different FS to make a comparison.

The hardest part on the WC descent is trying to miss all the walkers on every line ;-)

I’ve got an S Works (54cm) running a 100mm stem and the handling is spot on for me. The best thing I ever did was get a bike fit which gave me a set of figures to work to.

Wheelbase longer as it was on a slidey dropout therefore wheel had to be at furthest point back.
Bb height was an issue, it just felt too tall and unstable compared with the 26inch version and my 650b specific.

I tried it on a SS a few years back after having an Indy Fab 650b made as I wanted both ss my bikes to share wheels, the handling was terrible, the bb was too high, wheel base was slightly long and just rode crap. Don’t bother, if you want a better ride change the bike to a 650b specific.

Did that one last year when we nipped over for a day! Will look into the other suggestions too, will be riding with the wife so no records being set (cough) but I’ll give the descents a good go! Cheers

Most enjoyable Dyfi ever for me, we chose to ride Melo Velo style and socialise on the flat and ups and have fun everywhere else!
Fraz, Tegid, all the organisers, marshals, first aiders etc, thanks for all your hard work!

What are the thoughts on tyres, Mud tread or supa-fast XC? I guess the area is still a bit boggy??

Masterwatson2000 spotted! We had about 2km to go when you saw us, great days riding. For some reason a few of us turned into roadies and sprinted for the sign posts! After an artic shower we swiftly returned to that very pub :-)

Was there yesterday and today, man made stuff, the short section I ride was ok. Natural stuff depending on where you go is all good. Fod drains pretty well as it’s not clay.

Mmmmmm if N=? then N+1=?+1=? so N+1 remains.

    tollah

There’ll always be N+1 but thus +1 became N and there’s another +1 in the pipeline!
Chunky this is a temporary frame whilst my custom fat has been delayed by 7 months :-) so normal service will be resumed :-)

Ah but when it was a thought and when it was a pile of bits it was N+1 then once it’s been built surely it becomes N and the next is N+1?
Doesn’t matter anyways it’s fun to ride.

Was it a race? Err yes SSWC SingleSpeed World Cup
GPX I got it on Strava, it started in the little village above Cogne, descended down to the village a few KM down the valley then climbed up past Cogne turned right up the next valley then headed back down and up the next valley then back to the first little village below Cogne then back up to Cogne itself/

Pile of wheels at the start was instead of a bike pile, a few of us stole all the front wheels and piled them up. Its traditional at SS events to pile the bikes up at the start.

    Thanks for the votes!

My Orange IF SS is a 650B and always has been. The forks I modified with a carbon spacer I made to restrict the travel so the tyre wont top out on the crown

It works fine in the forks but the frames aren’t wide enough for the rear.

I’ve been running my IF for 4.5 years with an SC32
