Bought a Met Parachute a few years ago. They're a good idea, and surprised more manufacturers have not developed something similar.

I didn't buy it thinking that it would replace a full face helmet, and simply just wanted a little bit of extra protection to my stunningly handsome features (not). I found it a bit uncomfortable, chin strap particularly. Very good airflow through the helmet though.

I wouldn't buy another one, but would consider something similar, of better design, if it was available.

That's a good point that you are making regarding cheap Chinese labour.

Do you use only British parts in your light, or are they produced in a different country?

Thanks for the feedback. I just missed out on a Niterider Trinewt on Ebay yesterday, and was considering either the 900l bike light from DX or 2 P7 torches. You have just confirmed what I needed to know, and I'll buy the torches. Also looked at the different mounts, and I'll buy the ones in the link.

We had a Jack Russell when I was a kid. Excellent dog, very friendly, and a good little guard dog. Also had a labrador before leaving the UK. Very friendly dog, excellent around kids, probably not the best at guard dog duties. Just bought a Bull Mastiff/Rhodesian Ridgeback cross. Only 10 weeks old, but it's going to be a big dog. At least my bike will be safe with that around!
