You have the right to defend yourself and it is legal to do so, as long as you do not use unnecessary force. The bloke's behaviour was threatening and also threatened to kill you, so you defended yourself. Not got a problem with it.

Had a similar incident when I lived in the UK. But the bloke wasn't too keen to get out of the car to 'discuss things', 😆

And I'm not even a chef!

I'm sure that we'll see the Scots support any other team in the World Cup apart from England. So typical of them, 🙄

You need an insurance certificate to get a tax disc, so, if your argument is correct, then you can insure a car but it won't actually be insured until you get your tax disc? 😕

If you did get stung for not having insurance, then it's another fine, and six points.

The police would have to catch you driving your car while not having any insurance.

As TJ said, a fine (not excessive), and that's it.

Try living in Australia with an accent like mine (NE England)!. Most people think that I am from; in descendind order, Scotland, Ireland, Wales,England,South Africa!

Geda, good point. I was born and brought up in the NE. My first pride is that I am from that region, the second, that I am English. England is far from cream teas and the like.

Geda. For you information England is the whole country, not just London and the SE! Take a look around, there are great places in England.

The British Isles is a unique place, within Europe. Whether English, Scot, Welsh, Irish, the political boundaries cannot and will never distinguish that we are all from the British Isles.

I think a lot people bought an adaptor to convert it to a UK plug/socket. I bought mine in Aus. and I didn't need any adaptors, just plugged it in.

Bought a DX light about a month ago now. Considering what I paid for it, I am very happy with the power and quality. I read all the previous threads about them, and checked the light when it arrived. Never had an issue with it. Had it out in the rain, still no problem.

If you want a brand name light, then pay extra. If you just want a cheap light, then a DX light is well worth the money.

Bought a Garmin Colorado when they first came out. Never had a problem with it, and very happy with the accuracy and features.

Whoever stole it must be blind. As if that bike doesn't stand out from the crowd 🙄

IMHO I think that thieves should have a finger cut off for each time they steal something. They might slowly learn their lesson!

We have redclaw over here in Oz. Very similar to crayfish, and taste really good marinated and then thrown on the BBQ. Over here they use a trap, like a crab pot to catch them. I've heard all sorts of things to attract them to the pots, from sliced potato, to tins of cheap cat food with a few holes cut in them.

We now get about 12hrs daylight in Brisbane, just coming out of winter now. In summer we get about 14hrs.

Agree with mikewsmith regarding costs to Oz. We did all the paperwork. Made sure our dog had all the correct vaccinations, had to be micro-chipped. Then we left her with the in-laws to put her on the flight, as we had to leave at fairly short notice due to work commitments. The in-laws liked the dog so much we decided to leave her back in the UK with them, 🙄

You really need to do some research as the process is not quick, and better to plan ahead.

Well I decided to buy the Mule NV, and it arrived yesterday. Only took 5 days to arrive from Wiggle in the UK, and over $40 cheaper than a normal Mule here in Oz.

Used it for the commute this morning and it seems great. The vented back panel seems to work well, one of the main reasons I wanted this pack as it is warming up here again after winter.

Sounds as though the problem is not necessarily with this blokes actions, but with the fact that he sees himself as a 'team lead', and you already have a problem with that issue. Anything after that, like name calling is obviously going to annoy you.

Get you bike out, go for a long ride, get home and have a cold beer!

We've had a few Huntsman spiders around the house, particularly during the rainy season. Also had a few Redbacks around the house, and one on my car. Usually see a few Golden Orb Web spiders in the garden.

Harry, you seem to take offence to my remark, so…grow up, go ride your bike, wife, gf, bf, whatever you like.
