the 100km took our team 27hrs, it’s doable by most people, just needs a few good long practice walks, then good planning and preparation.

Next question .. hydration what should i avergae per hour? My intake during biking is about 1 ltr / hr but the work rates going to be alot less, was thinging about 1/2 of that?

a mate i ride with did the Caledonian Challenge in 2006 and it looked amasing, can’t imagine the views between london and brighton will be anything like as inspiring!
As you say it’s more mental than pysical but hope fully as a team we will get through it.

mo, it’s a supported event, so we get feed every 25km, so food’s not an issue!
Doing my 2nd big pratice 50km walk tommorrow, not looking foward to it in the rain :(

They were only quiet out at the back of town, everywhere else was ok.

I was going to ask “who died?” but it didn’t seem appropriate as a lot of people were running in memory of love ones….. so I started to give the crowed a clap as i ran past them if they were quiet, i think they then woke up!!!

Yes you do have to turn the PTO on each time, as there’s no clutch type arrangement / safety cut off, once it's going that it nothing stops it.

Do it, but forget using an axe, and get a screw type log splitter rather than a hydro-slitter they're much quicker however they connect directly to the PTO so they're not kid friendly!!
