    Hey mate
I work for a small BI consultancy and could maybe help out.
Ive been working with it for a couple of years personally and the rest of us alot more!. We are pretty busy though so might depend on your lead time. PM me if you want to look at this route.
I dont have business objects skills but if I'm honest if you can write SQL (presuming thats your source) you should be able to understand whats going on and build basic reports. very basic VB helps with some functionality such as alternating row colours and expressions but all in all you could easily teach yourself and have some reasonable results in a few days. Also 2008 or 2005 ? 2005 has more 'quirks' but is still very usable.
If its you having a go feel free to contact me with issues and we have a blogsite with some tips.

    helmet is sorted
Her current level of riding is some casual railway path and country lane riding with me on her Mtb. maybe we should ramp that up first.
I'm just trying to get an idea of what its all gonna cost us. Choosing her clothes would be a v bad idea!

No way I'd let a Mrs of mine go off for 'fun days out' with another man. Unless he was as much of a sexual threat as Gok Wan.

DW is very good I test rode the turner but found it a bit to burly for my needs and got an ibis instead, same suspension, much less weight, very marginally less stiff

as a wildcard entry (which has had some great reviews) the Titus FTM in whatever material you can afford

Simple is fantastic and well worth the money- i would only go to 120mm forks though. Personally I think it doesnt handle as well with 130mm, the front end gets a bit wishy washy, its hard to get enough weight over it going down. fox f120 15mm axle are a great match for it if you have the funds!!

I got stung by STW in a very similar manner a few years ago. had a job lined up with a well know bike chain. Asked on here why well known bike chain had a bad rep. heeps of abuse about well known bike chain. job no longer lined up and a free summer for me.
anyway I really feel your pain binners we all do something silly and seing your orig thread it wasnt out of order anyway.
whoever did this should be quitely disposed of using fishnets and concrete…..

Go and read bikeradar – lots of technique articles aimed at your level and some of them are actually quite good

go slightly fast (less damping) with rebound on the front and slightly slow (more damping) with rebound on the back
keeps the front end up and stops the back end throwing you over the bars
When I say slightly thats from the reference of a middle ground.

otherwise unless you are finding it too soft bottoming out is a good thing (although i really struggle to bottom out air forks unless they are silly soft) I was recommended 3 (gentle) bottom outs per technical ride and you probly have it about right

Sorry otherwise as above – whats wrong with it now?

fairly standard issue with the gobi- think of it as extra effective wing flex
Replaced my first one that did this (at my cost) and when the second one cracked pretty soon after i wasnt gonna bother.
still riding it 2-3 years later

Soul uses 4 tubes of 853 bfe just 1. that is basically all that causes the price differential as it was explained in Dirt

What do you want it for?

    all day xc – soul
    hooning about – bfe

(although i hear its actually pretty usable as an all day bike anyway!)

I'm with nonk on this its quite likely hes done 90 miles already and was shagged and appreciating the drafting for a bit. I did 101miles on sun and by the end there was no way I could anything except cling on to a wheel and stare at a rear brake (including crashing through holes!)

you will love it, simon and his crew have gotten much more 'hardcore' over the past few years. Learning to jump once past 30 has dangerous consquences 😉

edit: if you coached him ill blame it on you then!!

Hummm having also aquired a road bike recently I wouldnt really aggree, not really harder just different. you just cant compare distances and climbing figures though. Its much more sustained and constant effort but I find its lower intensity.
One thing that got me is Mountain biking i just drink water, road biking ive found that its not enough and you need something with carbs in otherwise its far to easy to bonk a long way from home. that might help you out.
The feeling i love is puttin it in little ring and mid block, sitting back on the saddle and ripping up hills, feels so light 🙂
How scary is downhilling at first though??!!

further to votchy's comment I would hazard the suggestion that it depends how you ride. If you really lean the bike through corners you should love the HR if you keep your bike a bit more upright you wont find the side knobs and you will hate it.
    IMHO
