I always put this out there on these threads.
Buy Shure in ears as high up the range as u can afford. (play.com usually have good discounts)
The block out 99% of sound through a snug in ear fit rather than electronic nonsence and they sound brilliant. They are the dogs gonads for commuting/traveling/ignoring people you dont like because you cant hear them. Just for god sake dont wear them road riding!

Well ive just spoken to woolwich/ barclays who im with atm and they arnt interested, they want 6months in the job and 18months of employment history as standard anything else is a special request.

Looks like we might need to rent for a bit, any disadvantage to coming off the property ladder and jumping back on later on?

We already have a mortgage under just my name, its just that where we are moving to we probably need both incomes taken into account to afford what we want

And we will be outside any ‘fixed’ period and free to move providers or threaten to!

Really like my job, IT consulting for a small and specialist firm. However really starting to tire of the travel that comes with it, not the firms fault though i moved miles from them for some stupid reason (love 🙂 )

did our mortgage through an IFA and it was a godsend, it was an unusual build new flat and we had barely enough deposit. Our IFA went round all the providers he could come up with and only one actually agreed to take us on. I would hate to have done the leg work myself.
in terms of fees ours was paid a lump sum £200 i think and had some commision too. He said most of the mortgages he deals with he doesnt charge the lum some but we we only spending pennies compared to his usual clientele!!!
The guy I used was the one my dad had so no ideas on where to get one

Using a samsung omnia 7 and have been very impressed. outlook sync is great. Mango update comming soon will give significant new functionality such as multitasking. very easy to use and like the i phone stuff just works (but doesnt cost you £200)

My cannondale six road bike had been faultless for a bit of balance. Its damn stiff too. came with fsa cranks which weigh about 5 tons though and you only have FSA, SRAM and cannondale hollowtech( rare as hens teeth) to choose from for upgrade

I went along and it was pretty good fun, got a green band for the box hill area and it was nice enough

    couple of points though:
fistly why make it so difficult to ride there, the info pack said you had to ride to the bike park from the pebble hill side not the zigzag which is a much more novice friendly climb. Also as we rode through box hill village a police motorbike stopped us and asked us to walk the rest of the way to the bike park. whats the point in a bike park if you cant ride there, do they not get that road shoes are not walkable in for a couple of miles without trashing them? (obv not)

secondly, they had a ‘commentator’ on a PA system who was the most annoying person in the universe. spent the whole time blabering on about picking up litter and not to fall over on the un even ground it really reduced my enjoyment of the race. the guy standing behind us actually tried to take a broken bottle to her speaker cable but couldnt get through it. We NEED someone who knows cycling and has race radio to ‘commentate’ not just blaber irritating warnings

I did manage to have a good time though 🙂 and saw cav and his cronies 🙂

Ive still got an omnia 7 and its been excellent, screen is fantastic, its pretty solid and ive not had any problems with updates. Cant wait for mango though, loads of new stuff coming.

only drawback is you cant add to the memory so I would maybe choose something else if you want to use it for much music and video as 8gb doesnt go that far

meh id still rag it, whats the poin in having a nice bike if you dont decide to ride it as you wish.

I decided when i bought mine that i would not worry about carbon, i think id still decide that even if it was second hand

ive got a mojo sl full carbon trail bike. I ride it like I would any other bike and take no account of its material. (at least while its in warranty)

doing anything else is just stupid IMO, treat it like a trail bike, rag it and enjoy

    hehe had similar on saturday.
doing a ride from london to surrey with 3 mates
On road bikes, i run mtb SPDs and one of the mates runs Road SPDs
He ran pretty much every red light on route while me and the other guys stopped
I was at the front and coming up to a red of a minor side road coming in
could see it was clear so skipped my first one of the day
one minute later a police van pulled up next to me and ‘had a word’
luckily he was clearly not keen to stop so i just got an earful
pissed off with my mate for his jammyness 🙁
    I feel for you 🙂
