Llandegla had a few brand new Mojo Hd3’s advertised on their Facebook page for £3000 if that floats your boat.

Thanks PJM so I guess I’ll just ride and see then.
Do you know if the upgraded spec is holding up better?
If it fails and gets done under warranty fair enough, can’t see me paying for it as an upgrade though.

Watching with interest as my new bike has the unmodded shock.
What does the rebuild consist of, is it just new internals?

I bought some new forks from them, when they arrived they had socket marks on the tops. When I contacted them I was told they were off a new bike, never used but had travel changed. They offered me a refund, but I was still happy with the forks as they were cheap and mint other than the top caps. They also sent me a voucher for money off next purchase which I didn’t use.
I didn’t use PayPal so can’t comment on that but I would use them again.

That’s true Kayla1 which is why I said it wasn’t a problem waiting for him, which you didn’t quote. I’ve also ridden with road riders who were crazy quick, everyone is different.
I made the point to show that the skills aren’t instantly transferable for everyone and not to get hurt chasing the more experienced riders, as that’s not fun.
I wasn’t having a pop or saying any discipline was ‘better’ as you put it.

From previous experience on a similar excursion I think you need to be honest with yourself.
We had a guy with the group who was competent on a road bike but couldn’t transfer them skills to off road. He was all over the place so we had to keep waiting for him, not a problem for us but it was affecting him, so he was trying to push on to keep up. After several comical falls he ended up going straight on into a dry stone wall and the guide called it a day for him, took him to a road and directed him back to the cabin.
Not sure what terrain you will be on but you say you have only done a few miles on road, things happen a lot quicker off road when you’re not used to throttle and clutch use.
Also do you have a license? Most of these tours involve riding on road and you say you only have a few miles experience.
Don’t want to put a dampener on it but if you’re out of you’re comfort zone you won’t enjoy it and it can be dangerous.
Although if you’re competent on a motorbike and can control yourself not to chase the faster guys it will be great fun!

I’m normally ok, but I’ve just impulse bought an old stock mojo hd3 frame that ibis were clearing. I don’t worry about it, I can afford it plus I will get some money back when I sell my current mojo. Many people spend more money on fags and booze than I do on bike stuff and I get a lot more benefit.

8 weeks ago my dad had a brain haemorrhage, the position of it meant they couldn’t operate, he was put into a coma and we were given the talk everyone dreads. They said they were bringing him out of his coma the following morning but would not resuscitate him if he didn’t breath on his own. He did, but the surgeon told us he wouldn’t make it past 48 hours. He did but was still not in a good way. Seven weeks later we brought him home, he still has loss of memory, can’t walk far and has to eat soft foods at the moment but he still has a quality of life and is happy, as are we.
We had said our goodbyes and were making future plans, we never thought we would be where we are now and all the scans said we shouldn’t be so hopefully you might have a similar experience.
It’s an awful thing to deal with so don’t be afraid to post and talk, whatever works for you is good.

Gutted for you, hearing this. I’ve been through similar with my dad and although like you say, the world stops, it does get a little easier once the initial shock of hearing the c word has sunk in. I echo what’s been said above about making use of Macmillan Nurses they really are awesome and helpful.
Good luck and hoping for the best outcome.

I bought the Bobble Presse for work after it was recommended on here a couple of weeks ago and I like it.
The coffee is the same bodum cafetière I used to use but no grinds pass the seal.
It’s not messy to use, and it’s easy to clean afterwards.
I don’t drink from the cup though as I don’t like the silicone lid but that’s just my preference.
I don’t claim to be a coffee expert, I have a nespresso at home and I have no idea how to use a proper machine!

I’m glad you got better service than I did, maybe I was unlucky.
In fairness to them they were replacing the broken part on my forks in with the price of a service.
I still wouldn’t use them again though.
