I got mine for £80, I have only seen pics so far, might be at home when I get in, but its got the usual marks of life on it, not mint.

I would have had a new one, but didnt want the slot as pretty sure it wouldnt like my brakes, and wanted a replacable mech hangar.

Your weight doesnt matter, dont see many inbreds broken, if it sways you one way or the other my pal is selling an 18" one the same as you have for £60 posted (might haggle), if you fancy new then the 456 is nice looking in the blue, or cant go wrong with the std white inbred…

At the price how can you go wrong? Nice colour too.

You can see why its hard to get bike fit right, I am 5ft 9" with a 32" leg!!

The On One sizing chart rekons an 18" for you as far as I know that would be for whatever One One frame you go for… To be honest your bike pictured on the other thread does look big.

Most On One owners go for loadsa seatpost showing..

I ride an 18" and really I should/could have a 16" according to the sizing chart as I am on the cusp, but my old one was nice and comfy so I just bought another the same size.

I dont think you would need to buy another seatpost either, run what you got and if you cant get set right then buy one.

I doubt the frame has much to do with the front lifting on climbs, drop your elbows..

Wouldnt the money for carboncycles forks go toward a set of used Tora's or something?

If your talking about the blue 456 I see your point on the colour thing.

OR just get the scandal and save 1.5lb on frame weight, would be a really light fast fun winter hack.

Its the deathgrip you got on the bars, it stops your blood flowing through your hands properly, just try and remember to release your fingers and stretch them out every chance you get to get the blood flowing.

The revolution spokes are fine, if your regulary dropping off the side of a house maybe not, but for XC and Trail centre stuff I dont have any problem reccomending them as long as your not really heavy…

Mine are built onto 717 rims and have been faultless since 04, had a re tension after chairlifting in the Alps and broke 1 spoke at Thetford of all places. Am 12-13 stone depending on atmospheric pressure.

It all went wrong 3 years ago, if you had left 6ft instead of 6" it would have really helped. You might be lucky and the old roots might not be too painful, but no easy way in my experience.

You can hire a machine for grinding them down I believe.

Does wee help like on jelly fish stings?

I have given up with lotions and just relish the fact if my legs and arms are stinging it means I just had some fun…

Campag Centaur ultra torque, stiff, light, completely serviceable BB (takes 10 mins to grease the bearings) and pretty sure you can find a 38t ring for them, but the compact comes with a 34t and something big.

skids, you know what the only decent looking silver post other than Thompson I have found is a Kona one, at £25 I am tempted, but being picky its a grey polished finish and not quite silver…

Might work, but why do I need to be a light rider? am 12 1/2 stone but sometimes that comes crashing down painfully hard when it all goes wrong!!

Got a link to what it looks like can only see the Ti one on CRC thats silver.

If you have not done the air can service for 14 months and they open her up and its dry as a bone, they will probably charge you. The Fox site says its a thing to do every 8 hours riding. They will even if warranted probably charge for parts as they wont put it back together without new seals.

If your not comfy with doing the air can service, then thats your only option, maybe worth ringing them to see how you stand.

yes you can, but i have ran 183's without issues its only 1.5mm different and am supprised if the outer rubs on the caliper? To get some of the 1.5mm back make sure you hold the caliper up/out so its as far away from the hub centre as possible before nipping the screws up, the slack around the bolts will give you some.

I had a dentist remove a wisdom tooth and he hurt me so much I wouldnt go back, took my own stitches out, this might have proved quite addictive as I have in the past tidied up a filling with some wet and dry paper as it used to snag food, much better now.

I DRAW THE LINE HERE, I WOULD NOT DO MY OWN FILLING AND DRILLING!!!

It is stuck down, the air has gone to the wrong part of the shock and the pressure is actually holding the shock down (dunno how it just does), you can keep adding air to the chamber to counteract it, but you need to release the trapped wind!!

Whatever, its a free fix and well worth a try before you send it off.

Yeah axact same symptoms, eneded up running a ferrocious pressure just to get the ride height back, pop the air can off and it will be fine, but it does make quite a bang. Its worth doing an air can service regularly anyhow as it really makes a difference to how long the shock last.

Just bought a Deore one from Wooly hat shop on fleabay for £19 they fit the XT as far as I know, at least thats what mine is going on.

I would have changed the bearings but for under £20 thought this was worth a punt.

Looks nice, good buy for the money I rekon, ignore the size on Spesh tyres they are always huge compared to anyone elses and Conti's are the opposite.

Its just stuck down, yes the air has crossed a seal into an area it shouldnt be, they sometimes do it, mine did it about a year ago, though a different fox shock, a septune, my mates triad did it too, you need to remove it from the bike and let the air out of it, then unscrew the air chamber it will make a horrific bang and scare the shit out of you, then just clean it all out inside the air chamber and re assemble using for fork or shock oil liberally inside it. A vice helps, but I did one trailside once.

I think you can get a more grease like lube to put in it, but I just use fork or shock oil now and do it fairly regularly as it helps the seals and shock shaft last. I didnt have to do anything else to mine and its never had to be sent off.

2nd hand SID's…. spinners are cheap and light but dont get a great write up, but might be ok for a light weight kiddie… would they need to be specific forks for a 24" wheel though?

skiprat, put a WTD in the classifieds last week… I wanted the conventional placing for the caliper as have a 180mm 4 pot brake and have no intention of SS, and if I did, I have nothing against tensioners, rekon its about the same faff for slot or a tesnioner, just a slot is a little better looking for SS..

I bought a brand neww Carrera frame off the bay for my wife for £35 it was a cracking frame for that, with some great details on it as good as anything for up to £150.

Check this thread out, this Boardman frame looks great too, and guess its for sale going on the thread.
