    Does not meet ops requirements

Surely an ec2 with lamp would mean practically unlimited databases? I’ve no idea what the bandwidth charges are though

Has anyone tried static hosting in a aws s3 bucket. Or micro ec2 with lamp installed? Both would be free first year.

Was at Grizedale campsite at Easter – Bowkerstead Farm. Facilities are from the 70s but very relaxed atmosphere. You can camp where you like with open fires, has streams, woods and farm animals.

Grizedale forest Park is 3 miles up the road with shops, cafe, activities etc. Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness just the other side of the hill.

Now seems like a good time to buy one if the prices drop.

As above the original idea was combine some road and bridleways on a local loop. MTBs always look a little ridiculous on the road.

There is no harm in putting some shelf brackets up if you’re still worried. I’ve been known to rawplug just a strip of chamfered skirting board under wall cupboards painted the same colour as the wall to take a bit of the weight. And a few of those small corner braces on the top for good measure. Screwfix is your friend.

and introduce some form of democracy

I’m sure all the Lords and Barons with their castles, standing armies and surfs and claims to the throne will just nod and agree. That or fitting civil wars and 300 years of revolution into the last episode.

They will probably just jump straight to a union between Westeros, Essos, and Sothoryos. Until Westros gets fed up with Dorne economic refugees and votes for Wexit.

For those who don’t know the final script has been leaked !=

Big battle, enraged dragon queen attacks the red keep killing civilians sealing her own fate, subsequently falls off to be captured. Rescue mission ensues, Jamie somehow sacrifices himself to save Brienne from the Mountain, Cersei kills Daenerys during the melee, John kills Cersei, but is so heartbroken immediately exiles himself to Hadrian’s wall.

Sansa takes the 7 kingdoms throne and falls for a dapper young musician at Brienne and Aria’s wedding, Ed Shearon becomes King thus winning the game of thrones.

    Also this:

Had a similar phase with my Kaffenback. Tried the SS thing even put some bull horns on.

More recently I’ve taken it in a more retro direction and removed all but necessary. Binned the discs and rack, fitted 1 x 9, steel fork, marathons. Still weighs a ton but is totally bombproof.

The simplity makes it more interesting to ride, admittedly SS would be simpler still but SS is just not fun IME.

Practally all online currency trading platforms are total BS that just track inc FOREX, Bitcoin is no different. If that worries you just buy some instead.

That hacking thing was days ago and appears to have had zero impact.

Polution would be one reason. Petrol scooters on cycle lanes in Amsterdam is a massive problem.

Wonder if these are road legal:

    vintage ebike.

This high speed 1,000W e-bike has the look and feel of a vintage motorcycle

with a number of legal requirements, which potential users will find very difficult

    Has pedals.
    Has max motor of 250watts.
    Power cuts off at 15mph.

    How difficult is that?

If you have the garage space to spare I would recommend a trailer tent with an awning. A lot comfier than a tent and quicker to set up that it looks. Easier to pull and manouver than a caravan.

Added bonus of all camping gear is packed in one place.

    Not under 15mph you don’t.

That’s useful info, I was also under the assumption it was when the kit was fitted.

And by old I am assuming they are talking about 2016, when the new regs came in.

But, I’m sure the speed limiter is programmed into the lcd/led, without one even a 250 watt will exceed 15mph.

This time last year when I last looked into it Santander were offering the best deals for under 18s and students.

Good interest on current accounts and all the online banking apps, cards etc. And wasnt that hard to get set up.

If you watch you tube vids on garage house conversions you’ll see they use 5mm fiberboard and water resistant (green) Tongue & Groove Chipboard Floor Panels.

That’s what I did and covered it in lino. I also put a plastic sheet down first on the concrete. Barefeet friendly.

Chopping a bit off the bottom of the door is no big deal.

My latest anti-netflix aspirational plan involves:

Cooking – picking a dozen meals, planning ingredients for preparing one every other night.

Golf – cheap halfset from sports direct, 9 holes or driving range once a week. May do a course.

Weights – full body workout over two sessions two evenings a week.

Cycling – one long day ride a week plus one short evening ride.

Hiking – 5 mile local walk once a week.

Table tennis, badminton once a week, not really solitary.

Gardening – building some raised beds for veg.

Also considering joining an air rifle target club or maybe martial arts.

    Step 1 buy donuts.

Shortly before the alleged ‘dad’ arrives dial 999 and report a Facebook hate crime.

When the police get there tell them it was a false flag, but stall them with the donuts until the bike arrives.

When the doorbell rings ensure your wearing you’re helmet gopro to record the interaction.

If the seller turns up with heavies demanding cash up front you have the police to back you up. If they deny getting payment you have it recorded.

    Job done.

Doesn’t the throttle only operation classify it as a motorbike with all the insurance and registration hassles?

Yeah I just checked. I’ll need to take it off and fit pedal assist, which having tried previously seems like a better option anyway.

does the throttle release when you take your thumb off it

Yep you have to hold it down.

And did you need to mod the fork dropouts?

No they just fitted, but I tested against the old ones too and they would have needed making bigger.

The supplied levers are cable, mine are hydraulic. I may try to rig something up as they are just switches. Rack seemed less conspicuous, plus I use the panniers.

Commute is not far but I want to take the scenic route to avoid traffic.

How much did it come to all told?

Wheel inc controller cables etc = £150
Battery inc rack and charger = £225

Feel that with the added weight pedal assist might be a good option for longer rides so you are not flat out all the time, they are about an extra £60.

Mid drive would have been three times the price, rear wheel means new cassette and shifters. Front is cheapest, simplest and wont make much difference riding on the road. Plus balances the weight.

I suggest you try a mid drive, the ones I have didnt require much cadence to kick in, some of the Bosch ones talk about a minimum of only 20 RPM.

Judging from last weekend your main issue is going to be finding a free space to park.

After an hour touring various with even the grass verges full we had to resort to pretending to be visiting a holiday park, else miss our booking.

    Never seen anything like it.

How about putting some 27.5 wheels on!

That should add a little pep to acceleration?

Might even get a wider set in and the diameter / geometry probably be the same as 700 26c.
