I liked it, good dialogue thought Eli played a great part. A little irelevant but saw Clubbed (2008) the other night, better than I expected.

Tail Grab Game

Required: kerchiefs or bandanas

Preparation: Define a play area depending on size of group.

Give each scout a token such as a penny or bean.
Each scout puts his kerchief hanging out the back of his pants waist band or belt loop.

Instructions: Scouts spread out around the playing area.
On ‘Go’ signal, each scout tries to take the tail from another scout while protecting his own tail.

Once a scout has a tail in hand, he is ‘safe’ while he exchanges the tail for all of the scout’s tokens. The scout that lost his tail takes his tail back and leaves the game. Once the exchange is made, the scout with tokens is fair game.

The winner is the scout with the most tokens when time is called.
Try different time limits of 2, 3, 5 minutes.

tinribz, I was up there today about 1pm but decided to give it a miss as there was tons of walkers about… Locked the suspension out and done carlton – stilly – redmarshall – hartburn – tees barage loop instead. You weren’t on a dialled were you?

Heh, yeh that was probably me if it looked like this:

with my chav cap and sunglasses.

I might give that tees barrage one a try soon.

We’ve both the kids have used the WII every day for a year, the 360 just gets used to play DVDs. If you ask me though if you want ‘proper games’ use the PC.

Short ride from Wynyard Woodland Park to Hurworth Burn ressor with the kids.

Perfect for the kids, totally car free 15m rtn trip, flat but a little boring and sometimes muddy today:

Cool bench:

Couple more photo’s here.

A lot of walkers at the start but they fade out after a couple of miles.

Shotgun Alarm Signal

Then again –

Mr Clarkson, of Worsthorne, Burnley, denies possessing a prohibited firearm.

Mr Clarkson redeployed the device but said he did not have time to empty the shotgun pellets from the cartridge and left in live rounds.

The injured boy needed surgery on his damaged hand following the incident.

All three deny the charges and the case continues.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/7203129.stm

You never used to need a license to buy shotgun cartridges but that may have changed, although I doubt you do for blanks.

Trailstar here too. Sold it because it was heavier than everyone else’s XC bike, and a bit small.

Even though I was always last on the rides I reckon I was having the most fun, taking the steepest bumpiest lines every chance I got.

Not so much on the assents.

I actually watched that at the ‘pictures’, ahem with my Dad.

Sometimes when I click a thread I get dozens of blank tabs opening, but that’s not exclusive to this site entirely. And I update regularly.

I bought those ‘marked’ ones in the sale and I can’t see any marks! My first discs so can’t comment on performance, no complaints though.

the Cane Creek S8 is a good budget buy. Not sure what the price is at the moment though

I just got one from here;

for £26. Seems OK?

Lenovo’s are pretty good, much more robust this one is <500, decent GF; Lenovo 3000 N200

But not 17″ and 1Gb ram but they do upgrades. I ordered a laptop from them last year at 4pm and it arrived 10am the next day, with upgraded ram. Also my desktop has 4Gb and even processing video (according to the monitor) never uses more than 2.

– find out what resolution you run or want to run ur fav game in e.g 1280×1024,

– check to see which cards can manage 70 or preferably 100 fps,

– buy the cheapest.

I’d guess the top end ones are for game 3d developers or freaky CAD people that need loads of GPU power.

Just bought a compact myself and I narrowed it down to a TZ5 at first too, 10x lens, hd vid, great reviews. But then I started looking at some HDR shots on the net. That got me interested in an cheap SLR but thy are just too bulky to put in your pocket.

Finally decided a Canon G9. Slightly larger than the TZ but still a compact and with full manual (and auto) controls including auto bracketing for HDR. The G10 has just come out but the G9 uses the same sensor and is actually lighter and has more features (time laps vid). Although the G9 is 35mm not 28mm. But unlike the the TZ all the usual SLR lenses and filters, polarisers etc fit right on (with adapter). Metal construction and good reviews.

The G10 is £370, I got a G9 for £225 from Amazon a few weeks ago but prices seem to be increasing? Have to add that night shots are a little noisy but that could be me, and it is still a (good) compact not SLR sensor.

CD’s! is this 1999? Mp3s are wots goin on.

Get yourself a cheap laptop with a broken screen, a regulator and a touch screen.

http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=10149

Weekend job!

Other wise get a car stereo with an aux in for the ipod on the front or even better a usb port for a usb stick. You can get them for <£50 these days, any decent shop will fit for under £20.

Argos

Fitting yourself is easy as just do a google on the car model on how to remove then its just a question of getting the right adapter to plug straight in at the back.

We skipped the 20″, they seem really heavy unless you pay a fortune, and went for a Rayleigh Awesome 24 inch boys 08

Seems decent enough, for a seven year old it looked a bit big at first but he was off like a rocket right from the start.

I went in a shop the other day and asked for a stem to take oversize bars. Got told they don’t stock them, so I pointed to one just behind her. After a seemingly reluctant trip to the workshop she asked me for length and angle – 90mm / 5deg. Then for what type of bike it was for?!

Went through the same thing for a pair of grips it took a fair bit of insistance and more pointing to convince them that the ones on the top shelf (needing a ladder) were not women’s grips.

Customers who need’s em.

I thought I’d give some of those ergon’s a try too.

Moooo!

Bit of an impulse buy but I’ve found that bar ends give the wrist a rest on longer rides.

To do that he would be increasing the max bid each time but as the highest bidder it would still show the same amount.

Some bidders think that it chases off other bidders when they see a lot of bids by the same bidder. Makes others think they can’t possibly win. Even though he may have been bidding only a few pence more each time.

Sooner or later there will be some plugin or bridge feature you want that’s only available in CS4. Until that time why bother, sit back and let it depreciate.
