Sort of reminds me of a beetle for some reason.

How much for the carbon frames?

Stroker are solid for braking no complaints there but no adjustment and I'm forever setting them up again to stop rubbing, seems a common problem. Can be noisy too. Not tried many others though.

Iron Horse Darlo is not far, they've a Ragley in stock too. Friendly advice.

It's a scientific fact that there are no races. It is impossible or pointless to classify them because the differences between say groups of white coloured people, or similarities between other skin colour groups is far more varied e.g. height, weight, intelligence and significant than say slanted eyes or skin colour.

I only saw about half that figure today, and half of those were NEG. Noticeably a lot but 64? There were only about 100 riders weren't there.

Riding on the beach is a little hardwork over-rated, although I believe sea water and sand is very good for your drive chain.

Given genetically modified foods have the potential to significantly lower starvation it's mind boggling to find that no one against them can think of any real reason not to grow them.

Wade through the BS and all they seem to come up with is 'no one knows what could happen'. When in fact humans have been genetically modifying plants and animals for 1000's of years?

I noticed that with Classic rock too.

After getting fed up with german metal stuff I stumbled on 1.FM – Blues, it's filed under blues on shoutcast but seems fairly 'rocky' to me, not what I thought blues was gonna be anyway.

I put an MTB SLX casette on mine made loads of difference. Went on fine but the rear mech (Tiagra short) couldn't cope with it. That meant new rear mech (xt) and chain.

Might be interested in your old chainset if you decide to sell.

It was kinda odd that the whole purpose of the book was really to lift the veil on the fact we 'behave' no different to animals, but on this point he believes we are unique.

Probably just a higher mammal thing: http://www.sexwork.com/family/dolphins1.html

WTF, why do you think animals do it then

    Good book though.

    1. Preferred length stem for control.

    2. Weight evenly distributed (spacers, bars, stem rise).

    3. Bars over the front hub (move the seat forward / back).

    Simplez

If you can't do the above the frames the wrong size or ur an orang-outang or something. In which case custom frame.

I did re-dish the wheel which is why I think it is worse when I turn it around now.

Tried a different wheel which looked centered enough in the frame it came from:

That looks conclusively about 5mm diff / 2.5mm out. When I turn this one around it is about 11mm & 14mm.

What do you mean make the problem worse? Is 5 / 2.5mm worth worrying about? Could I have caused the problem?

Have just tried turning the wheel round and now it rubs worse than before, and on the same side. How can that be right?

Was in Germany recently & France for a day, every town centre had racks and racks of bikes parked up.

Interestingly a helluvalot of the towns and villages seem to have have separate cycle only lanes 6ft wide and running adjacent 6ft from the roads.

Whilst the pretty cycle route signs are all well and good there is no way that things are going to change while the councils think painting the gutters green is enough.

I had a problem with vista on a lap top once too, apparently it keeps backing its self up. Can't remember how I solved it, switched to XP I think. Try goggling vista and disappearing HD space.

Try something like WinDirStat or JDiskReport to track down the problem first.

    Makes deleting stuff easier too.

    Gloves, Ergons, shorter stem?

I think you have to sort of loosen your grip slightly and keep your wrists / arms from tensing up more when it gets really shaky on a HT.

    Or pick a better line.

Went up today to check this out. Was a few people milling about looking lost probably for the same reason. Followed a couple of guys on 'stweet bikes' wearing piss pots throught the car park. They stopped looked me up and down a bit and told me I'd missed the XC trail turn off a mile back

Could have been the semi-slicks, or the commuter dayglo, certanly not the cutting edge positioned barends I'm sure. What it is to be ahead of your time, sigh.

Anyway, after the it's not suitable and 'it has berms' warnings gave it a go. Glad to say I can take back some of what I've said before about where's all the money going at Hamsterley. Very bouncy, very Glentress & good fun.

Went off and did some of the new black bits after too. Some of that still feels like riding a dried up stream, but bits are starting to feel like a proper trail centre at long last.

Got mine in the post this morning :D : youtube – 1 minute of your life you will never get back & bulder's bum warning.

Only had time to take it down the park n back, no complaints so far but heading for the hills tomorrow!

When running down deer American Indians would grab lengths of nettles and thrash them against their legs so they could keep up the pace. Roman soldiers did the same on long marches to dull the pain.

    Peddle harder?

Have been training for the last 10 weeks for a C2C from very unfit.

Started at a 15 mile Sunday road ride increasing 5 miles a week to 50 miles. Also Tuesday & Thursday 10 miles increasing to 20 miles at fast pace. Or if it's pouring down an hour on the turbo at 150 bpm.

    Changed the mid weeks sessions to intervals riding or turbo after I hit about 500 miles to either 1min / 3min or 3min / 3min @ 135 – 165 – 135, my max being 180.

Have seen some massive drops in average HR, and since starting the intervals am actually enjoying hills. Average speed is consistently up 1/2 mph a week.

Sundays were tiring till recently, have also been taking a break every 4 weeks.

Think I can manage without the speedo and HRM now but was really useful to begin with.

Was sat watching tv the other day when I heard the front door bang shut, on investigation found my CRC parcel sitting at the bottom of the stairs.

Been getting a lot delivered the last few months and the wife tells me this has become normal. Was a bit perturbed at first but makes sense suppose as she works nights.

Never done Innerleithen but thoroughly enjoyed Glentress, might be consisdered a bit of a BMX track by some in parts and certainly has a man made feel. But it's the best example of MTB man made you'll find IMO, credit to the trail fairies.

Spooky Woods and Magic Mushroom have the biggest grin factor I've ever experienced at any trail centre, and that's what I went for not the scenery. Can't say you need to be that fit or brave, just have decent brakes.

Another vote for Traxxas Stampede or Rustler. If you are feeling flush go for the VXL model because they have brushless motors and lipo batteries – (twice as fast twice as long).

Or if you just want something stupidly fast and cheap take a look at something like this http://www.nitrotek.co.uk/A2010T.htm.

When you don't actually buy bikes anymore, just bike parts.

When your kid's bikes are worth more than anything else they own.

When you know exactly what your cadence is without having to count anymore, or start plotting graphs in excel of your average speed increases.
