I was up in the dales too, cold on the ears forgot my Aldi scalp thingy.

On the way back was coming from the side, felt like rigging up a sail.

I just got round to buying, parcel arrived, picked it up and was thinking they feel lighter than I remembered. Opened the parcel and there is just one?

I know they were cheap but are CRC crazy enough to sell single pedals? How did they know which side I wanted?

The invoice says Qty 1 – £20, but that can't be right can it?

Would expect this is down to high humidity.

Found something similar in a bedroom myself after checking the loft (fearing the worst) turns out it is broken seal on the double glazing.

Fixed that and got a dehumidifier, which aren’t cheap!

tinribz- what's that bag on your cotic on this thread? http://www.singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/good-old-fashioned-picture-thread/page/3

It's a cannondale Ogpod. Strictly speaking a barbag but I got seatpost Klickfix attatchment.

Got mine in a CRC sale for half price. Use it as a barbag too when touring. Nice day-size for water-proofs, camera, snacks etc. Don't notice it when riding.

    No one gonna mention Carradice?

Also worth looking at some of the barbags with Klick-Fix, get a seatpost adapter and you have two bags the price of one!

    How about some b&w ones:

The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner

    The Hill

Or more recently of note; Dog Soldiers, The Bank Job, Clubbed, Bronson,

    Nearly british; Sherlock Holmes.

Part-x'ed my civic estate for less than that after spending bout £250 on it over 5 years / 80k

The established logic for cheap cars was go for more expensive (than shopping car) saloons that pile on the motorway miles and depreciate. Because that causes alot less wear than stopping and starting / driving to the shop 5 times a day, especially if it ws cheaper to start with.

Or find something some old couple have had locked in their garage the last ten years.

Have used it on my RB and is fine for spot checks, beats counting. Tends to switch it's self off if you stop. Best use is on the turbo where the graph and average in the training center are most meaningful.

On the mtb seems a little pointless unless you are sticking to fire roads, just aiming to keep it high is the best you are going to get, and feed back from the using on the RB gives you a good feel for it anyway.

In this price range reckon I'd prefer the Cube Aim, better forks, lighter bike.

These come out really sturdy, made mine taller and wider with extra legs and a better top.

I h8 to say it but Halfrauds are doing thier carrera vulcans with extra discount online down from 299 to about 210, or were a couple of weeks ago. Nice looking boxy frames, suntour lockout forks, mechanical disks (urrrg), sram4 etc. About as minimum as I'd go but can't argue with the price.

Playing piano by ear from the age of 4, she went on to write her first piano ballad at 13 and began performing at open mike nights by age 14.[7] At age 11, the singer was set to join Juilliard School in Manhattan but instead attended Convent of the Sacred Heart, a private Roman Catholic school.[1][8] She described herself in high school as "very dedicated, very studious, very disciplined"

At age 17, Germanotta gained early admission to the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.[7][11]

The 'persona' is obviously just a puplicity thing aimed at the 12 year olds that actually buy most records. I reckon she's a smart cookie and talented.

At the end of each day she probably takes off the wig, make up and skimpy outfits, puts her feet up wearing a smoking jacket listening to chopan sipping something vintage with a smug grin on her face.

Seem to remember Badgers are a little more wider then tall, the give away is they will drag bedding down. And the tracks obviously. But a fox will use an old Badger hole. Don't think Hares live in holes?

Did the St Malo overnight one a couple of years back, also from the North East. Ditto above about a night on the ferry is ideal for a break from driving.

Believe we did Portsmouth and would recommend that over Southampton because they guide you in from the motorway right up to the key. Where as the S'hamton one is a drive through the town center to a beachfront industial estate.

Or was it the othe way round?

Just fitted an ikea over chrimbo. Not that much difference in price to the B&Q off the shelf stuff but i think it's better quality, easy to put together.

B&Q really stick it to you on the extras like trim etc. which adds up.

Only thing with ikea cabinets is the backs have to go flush with the wall which means you have to be a bit creative where there is plumbing. Would get your handles, sink, taps and stuff from somewhere cheaper though.

Their worktops are wide though and their wall cupboards a lot deeper than standard.

Those 6700s are 10 speed only I believe.

Now I know what I'm looking for I've seen some cracking deals on the bay for open pro builds that seem cheaper than I can source the parts. It's tempting though to have a crack at building some.

I put up a false wall last year, not the secret room version you are describing, but blocked entry from the front. I've no intention of ever putting a car in. There was a side door already so just reinforced that.

I actually recessed the false wall a couple of feet so I could still store the sort of crap you keep but never actually use, old tins of paint etc at the front.

On the road I'm one to two mph slower on the mtb with slicks doing the same 15m loop, which was about five / ten mins difference.

I can't see +1.5 mm making any difference, people mess about with 2mm spacers all the time. It 'might' have done if you were going the other way. Having recently tried to fit a triple on a double BB I can attest to that not working. Or you could put a spacer on the non drive side?

Just finished fitting an ikea one, shopped around and they were good value and available off the shelf. Although much of a muchness these days if you can wade through the discounts and sales guff.

A friend recently got theirs fitted by someone local who also bought it from Magnet, they had a trade catalogue with trade prices and basically just charged for the fitting. Which still worked out twice the price I paid, but had to take two weeks off work to do it.

I've one for sale but been shocked looking on ebay how cheap the're going for. Half original price for 6 month old while in March last year when I was seeing 3 or 4 year old bikes was going for 10% less than the new equiverlent.

Reckon everyon is hanging back like me.
