    Either knees that feel swollen at the front if I put my seat down, or one that hurts like hell at the back if I put it up.

    Have come to the conclusion one leg is shorter than the other.

    Also think I’m developing asma, can the cold bring that on?

    XDA Guide, tis tiny, has touch screen and joypad thingy. Got mine on fleabay new for under 130. Has GPS runs memory map and thousands of free downloadable apps for windows mobile. Even has a car satav that works really well too. You can also get an extra large long life battery for them, 3G all that jazz too.

    And while we’re having a moan, since when was it acceptable to blow your nose at your desk? And it’s not just one person, loadsa people from this ‘no manner’s parallel universe’ seemed to heave transversed into ours. In middle earth we go to the toilet!

    I manage to be out the office when most eat their lunch and find reasons to be away from my desk at snack times. But I’m still left listening to the drinking noises. FFs is it too hard to learn how to drink without glugging? Not to mention the every 2 minute throat clearing from the smokers.

    I believe University is free in Scandinavian countries (and Scotland!?), plus isn’t it true students get paid in Denmark.

    Shame on this Gov and the last tory one that introduced the fees.

    Indeed, I got impatient and started gogglin.

    Reckon I’ll get out the tripod and try streching it to 150 then.

    OK Tin this what u do, find out the number of pixels your camera produces and calulate the size for say 300 pixels per inch;

    Pixels DPI Size inches
    3968 300 13.22666667
    2232 300 7.44

    Now do it in reverse with the size you want;

    Size DPI Pixels
    40 99.2 3968
    22.49 99.2 2232

    Now you can print out a sample at home at the above resolution to see what it will look like.

    If you don’t raise the front you get a bad neck, numb hands. I use Garmin bike sensor with Forerunner 50 and HR mon. It automatically uploads to PC, plots a graph with HR, Cad, Distance, Speed, date. You ride based on BPM rather than speed.

    There’s been a bit of a revolution with the leccy ones in recent years with the move to LiPo batts an brushless motors, talking 60mph+

    You should take a look at say the Traxxas Rustler VXL. Try youtube.

    Not sure if this counts but I don’t like having the car volume on no. 13, even though 14 always seems too loud and 12 too quiet grr.

    There is someone in my office cracks his knuckles regularly and periodically shakes / wrings his hands to the side three times, then moves them over his head, but without actually touching the head.

    I touch my nose a lot, but it does actually itch. Any maybe a bit too much imaginary beard / chin stroking than strictly necessary.

    I can bring a Hartley to the party.

    Couple of weeks ago on the road bike. Bump Bump, broken back. Had stop go back and dispose of to the sound of much screaming. Not the most pleasant end to a Sunday tootle.

    The argument here is, a much bigger one, what is the role of the State in 2010, and do we need/want the State to provide recreational facilities, conservation areas, a strategic reserve of timber to support the sawmilling industry.

    Obviously yes.

    If the gov can’t be trusted with national assets then we should do it ourselves. Start a not for profit company called ‘The Britsh People Ltd’, we all chip in and buy the land once and for all and look after it properly, by which I mean unrestricted access for all.

    It is really useful but alot of the more common ‘types’ (as in frequent) don’t take it seriously enough to understand or hold anything against you. I’m gonna predict you as an ISTP.

    Cantis are a joke, or would be if they wern’t dangerous. Decent V’s are as good as discs 95% of the time.

    10% on accessories sounds high, anyone managed that before? Took all my courage to ask for a free bottle holder with mine, wish I’d held out for a decent bike computer instead.

    Roadrat is what I’m thinking of for myself too, winter trainer / tourer that’s not afraid of a towpath or two.

    If it is more off road than on then I would be thinking of a Karate Monkey, which is still on the cards 4 me too.

    If it’s on the cheap what about a Kona Dew Drop, not steel though. singular Gryphon if it floats your boat, or the Peregrine if you can afford it. For heavy weight the Surly LHT has to be the favourite, or Fargo maybe.

    Some second hand Dawes thing that weighed a ton and left my wrists feeling like I’d just been digging up the road. Got half-inched when the Mrs put the bins out and left the back gate unlocked.

    This is what I thought I was buying in to;

    Don’t think I actualy went off-road till it all went alu late 90s?
    And Saracens actually made it affordable. Was light but still no suspension.

    I doubt our tongues have changed much in thousands of years, it’s all down preference, you like to burn the taste and flavour out of your steak.

    In the context that Western Europeans developed lactose tolerance in under 5 thousand years since the agricultural revolution, I think that in the last quarter of a million years or so developing a taste preference for barbequed mammoth steaks which are more digestible and parasite free is a no brainer. Why do you think we have a sense of taste?

    Anyone preferring ‘the meat juices’ should have been bred out a long time ago. It has to be a conscious pretence preference.

    tinribz

    I am having mine rare.

    Right let’s talk about this too. Thousands of years of evolution has programmed our tongues to relish well cooked parasitic worm free meat. How and who made undercooked tasteless and unhealthy food fashionable? The French!?

    Nothing wrong with a good strong pepper sauce either.

    They all look a bit samey. I’m gonna guess a 29er with Midges handles better off-road, but how do they compare to a crosser on road? They might be more of a ‘do it all’.

    It never gets easier, you just go faster. To put it another way, per Greg Henderson: “Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”

    Whaaa?

    Cycing round Scotland or Ireland sounds OK, at least there would be some scenery to speak of. But England? Gonna spend a lot of time staring at hedges I’d expect.

    This sort of thing would be more appealing If I had the time, plus you get to go abroad and have some decent food.

    Will try ordering that nexrt time. How come they don’t do a madras pizza?

    Uncle John, Kaffenback, Crosscheck, Roadrat.

    Have you not thought about a 29er, that way you could have flat bars and put big or small tyres on. e.g. Karate Monkey or Singular Swift, or Inbred? What are they like for racks though?
