I suspect my niggling knee is because of similier problems but hamstring specific exercises seem difficult to find.

Not a big fan of stretching because I find it difficult to believe it will help, and recent evidence shows it to be more damaging than helpful. Have started doing some squats but worry they will not help any quad imbalance because it seems to be making my quads stronger.

Tried some Romanian deadlifts dubious they were not actually targeting the glutes. But I only managed 2 sets before my hamstrings started to feel pumped and like they were cramping up.

Am only two weeks in no big changes but certainly not doing any harm. Would be interested in how people rate lunges, and how best to do them.

Places to avoid – Bishop Auckland

    Clearly you’ve never visited Shildon.

Bishop is in a bit of no-mans land between Darlo and Durham but not really what you’d classify as rural, some run down areas. I’d take a look at Sedgefield or West Auckland. Or some of the newer housing estates in North Darlington. Barnard Castle is nice, lots of riding on your doorstep from there.

The airwolf one was good but shame about the actual show.

This has to belong on some list:

Although I’m still marred by confusing thoughts about that priest.

Another SW 1.6D here, big enough to fit 3 bikes and 2 kids inside but doesnt feel like your driving a bus. Taken it to the Alps and back a couple of times.

Must have done over 40k personally (about 60 something on the clock) and only been in the garage once for some front shock issue. 55mpg but don’t expect to burn any rubber at the lights.

Not a big fan of all the posturing and bare chestedness but can’t fault the music.

Yes it’s all wrong, this is what’s been in my head all week and it’s way more right.

Might be worth taking a ganda at some hybrids, those with more MTB genetics like a crosstrail.

Seems fast enough to me but would suggest interval training once a week and some squats? Use the HRM to make sure you don’t over do it on every other day / recovery days. Or mix up training by just focusing on speed for a couple of months.

Really liking those pics, what’s that chainset?

Plus what are Kaffs like to ride, are they a bit over-built or do they have a little flex?

Leaving the low hanging fruit aside, can I assume that the program was making an assumption that we are ‘not evolving’ because we are not getting more intelligent? That has to be the biggest misconception about evolution.

Or like on the sc-fi TV where everything evolves in to a humanoid…

Had one ‘fall off’ when at the local shot blasters once.

Heated the other with a proper welding blow torch, came off real quick like less than 10 secs, but the whole tube was glowing too. That was 853 but thought that was air hardened anyway?

Seat down, straight down to the first corner, lock up the back till you stop. Trackstand bounce the front round, release, repeat.

Or take that path on the right…

Top tips, am looking forward to it. Maybe look for an ascend and take a large picnic too.

Fairly sure the front mech won’t work either. Even the flat bar road shifters specify which (two) front mechs they will work with.

Try reminding yourself that you spend way more time thinking about what people think about you than they actually spend thinking about you. They are all much too busy thinking what everyone thinks of them.

    Works for me.

Or, that they are all crazy anyway, so who GAF.

    Clearly the Cube.

Personally though I would / am waiting for the Mk2 Kaff to come out, if it ever does. Looked pritty cool in those pics someone posted. Not exactly a race bike mind.

Some suggestions that have helped in our house, find out what they will eat rather than try force what you can stomach on them.

Our 8 year old struggles with carrots peas or salad but is partial to sprouts (bleh), parsnips, butternut squash (also bleh) and occasional broccoli.

Also started a points system (1 for a pea, 10 for a sprout 20 for an apple etc. Suprising how motivating that can become when the older sister tucks in to cabbage (10pts) etc.

    never gets any easier though.

    Recommend rosebikes [/url]for spokes.

Also used the DT calc, but when I went back to double check a couple of days later they came out way different.

Tried a few random googled ones and they generally agreed with one of the DT outputs, but not the other. Seems to have it’s off-days.

    Bought those, liked’em, sold’em.

But only because the bar ends are a waste of space (and look funny on the bike), their uncomfortableness’ness is all the more ironic by how great the rubber bits are.

Now use some cheaper imitations, still good but not as. Am tryin these out soon:

These sellers should try insisting buyers send cash in the post, and then see how much business they get.

It all started going pear shaped when some ijut (in the middle East!) started planting seeds and domesticating animals. Before you knew it we had commodities, wealth, division of labour and a life of slavery for worthless possessions.

A million years it took to evolve to be perfect (ly happy) hunter gather’s, and the last 10k we ruin it all.

**** national interest and democracy, **** agrarian utopias I say get back to basics and start cloning mammoths.

When you’ve been ripped off gifting people on here the OP might feel different. And how very dare they issue instructions to the buyer, wot a cheek.

Some people have sent me a gift before, much apprec but I’d not dream of asking never mind insisting, get a grip, or is this all a troll?

I use Memory Map on a smartphone 25k maps 10m accuracy, and I still get lost, but if it wasnt for it I’d probably be wandering the moors somewhere right now chewing my shoes for sustenance.

Ideal for planning a new route, and discovering how plain wrong OS maps really are.

Most of these sort of websites are just tweaked out-the-box opensource CMS sites. I’d hazard a guess STW is just based on WordPress.

You don’t need someone to re-invent the wheel when you can download it for free. Joomla was already mentioned and I reckon with that with your basic html ftp understanding you could make a better site than that trailquests one inside a couple of months if you picked up Joomla for dummys or followed some utube tuts. There is even a joomla gpx plugin available.

Would cost you about 30 squid for some hosting and domain name, ten minutes on an install wizard and some time customising.

Then again if you need it in 3 weeks you gotta pay the going rate. Or outsource to india, freelancer.com?

According to the comp my 307SW 1.6 does ave >52mpg, never bothered to get the calculator out but seems about right, goes up and down a a fair whack motorway vs town.

But doesnt have anywhere near the poke my old 405TD had.

Someone was telling me not so long ago how they were filling up their 406 and then they looked down their feet were soaked in diesel. Tank had just cracked open, had to get the fire brigade out and everything, lol.

    Maybe worth checking your driveway.

Funnily enough some BB7s just arrived today for mine 😛

Did manage to get some mini-Vs working but only after a-l-o-t of washer swapping about.

Ordered some stuff last week at the same time from JE James, Rose, & Winstanly. Winstanley stuff was out of stock but still arrived first, followed by Rose bikes, followed by JE. All less than 5 working days.
