Same here. Definitely getting eaisier with length although I succumbed to trimming the tash part to keep hair out my mouth.

Was all set for keeping it but I’ve noticed people treating me differently. Queued outside halfords for an hour to buy a new chain, sales women said ‘It’s 24.99’ looking sheepish, I said OK, and she repeated ‘THATS 25 POUNDS. Are you sure?’ Then in the corner shop fumbling for change for some bread and milk someone offered to pay for it.

Admittedly I was wearing bike the oily bike fettling gear, but it doesnt’t bode well to have the hobo look nailed so easily.

If you are not sure put on ebay, wisdom of the crowds.

Decided now is best time to ebay all my N+’s. To fund one new modern bike to-rule-them-all with flat mounts and bolt throughs. Took a week off work to prep them all. And looks like I’m getting my money back on the turbo.

The ‘do you have a BIN price’ messages are thick and fast. But I’m letting them run.

My son floated similiar ideas. His first choice starts October anyway. And although virtual is being floated unis are still preparing for usual start dates.

I seriously doubt we will be in lockdown in 5 months time. It appears from the news anyway, that the peak has passed and we are only 3 or 4 months in?

My advice was to proceed as if starting, fees are not due till first day of term and things will be crystal by then.

Take your points about deferring and demand next year. I would rather see him missing out on a first term on-site than the uni of choice.

Been building up last couple of years. Ex-gym magnetic spin bike was bargain off fleabay. Got the dumbells not long before lockdown. Had some more bars and bumper plates in my basket just waiting for March’s discount code email :(

The power rack is reasuring for benching and squats and has a primitive but really useful cable thing.

Twice a week is all I can sustain, can’t remember the last time my shoulder didnt ache.

Was waiting for a Garmin 245, mostly to feed my homeworking cardiovascular paranoia. Ordered next day but thanks the Herpes ‘mislaying’ it, it’s taken 2 weeks to get an offer of a refund from Wiggle.

In the mean time decided hydraulicising the gravel bike was a better idea, the old 105 stis have been through about 4 bikes and are getting glitchy.

On the subject of Wiggle, they and CRC seem to be price gouging Tiagra 4720 Shifters at 320GBP while Bike24 and BikeDiscount have them under 200 euros the pair. Nearly half the price!

Anyways, waiting on a Tiagra groupset minus the calipers and chainset. Where best to get mineral oil?

Was rudely awoken this morning by loud and excited children’s voices speaking what sounded like German two gardens over. England seemed like a long way to come for your hour’s exercise!

Mrs T explained later they were doing an Easter Egg hunt and have lived there for about 6 months.

    What would Saul Goodman do?

Probably follow the guy, get a friend to balance a piano from a height and have you push him out the way of it falling so he owes you his life.

Or hold music festival in your garden and offer free woodland camping.

A heart rate sensor and training in zones is a good way to go to start. And gives a good personal level of effort required.

I used to find that after a couple of weeks feedback you didn’t need to look at the sensor.

Three or four one hour long sessions a week is plenty enough to get fitter. With maybe one 2 min fast, 2 min recover interval session included.

Lots of tyre levers. Did you include crank extractor, ISIS spline tool and holotech bb and crank spanner.

Also cone spanners and some ball bearings. Outer cable cutters? Brake bleed stuff. Spoke key and weird nipple screwdriver.

Had a look around the usual places for a relative just before Christmas, for a gaming pc.

Mesh came out on top for value for money. If you choose one of their value models, and upgrade as necessary in the options.

The never had it so good but feel a bit guilty and like to moan about it age. Or so it seems.

Longest period of peace in European history. Highest standards of living. Lowest crime, greatest personal freedoms and social mobility ever.
Unimagined information and entertaimemnt access. Steady population decline.

Good times create weak men. And weak men create hard times.

Seems this is the wrong month to want to upgrade to some heavier plates and dumbells.

Can’t find a single place online that has any in stock.

Now I’m forced to physically move the ones I have from one bar to the next between exercises.

And it doesn’t look as good in the mirror using lots of smaller plates compared to fewer big ones.

I guess this is what you call taking one for the team. :(

Like my Ikea Bekant desk. Really deep and adjustable legs.

The Range do decent good value chairs, go for the gaming ones. Comfier and they last twice as long.

Dont forget the blackout blinds and leds.

Also, don’t cheap out on the conference call headset. You can wear HyperX Clouds all day and music sounds great.

    Just for work of course.

Oh dont forget a Havit mechanical keyboard. Your fingers will thank you.

May have been posted but the simulator graphics near the bottom of the page give a good example of why we should be shutting down schools to slow the spread so a more managed approach with limited medical resources can be taken. And ensure sure there is a steady througput of workers that recover and get back to work.

While normally can get next day online shopping was booked all week. Ventured out to Aldi, busy but got nearly all usual supplies and some rationed loo roll. Just seemed like it was Chicken and tinned veg missing.

Called in to the big Sainsburys round the corner and in contrast it looked decimated, even the fresh veg. Check out staff looked exausted, said there had been queues before opening and non stop all day. Also no Chicken…?!

Surely if the plan is to slow down the virus shouldn’t the advice be to hamster up? Minimise the need to leave the house?

Or do they know people will do this anyway and are just trying to avoid a stampede.

Then again 3 months of supplies is quite an undertaking.

Are you sure its not part of a cable going into the spokes?.

Also don’t forget to hold the brakes on when you tighten the caliper bolds.

And finally make sure the braking surface is on the smooth bit, could be the holes in the disc are making the noise hitting the pads. Or the top of the disc. May need some washers.

If you are still considering York then the closer to the Station the pricier. But here’s one with a 100% off road 20 min commute along the river:

Tang Hall and Acomb have some run down areas but new developments pop up all over and areas vary from street to street. You really have to come up and take a look.

Yeah if you are talking paper punching PCP seems to be where it’s at these days and they are not cheap for club level what with their fancy regulators for power consistency. Especially when they all seem to have expensive sights and special jackets, and bottles. Also, more sporty rifles may well be too powerful for indoor target ranges.

You will find that most clubs have bottles you can use and club guns, and there is generally someone looking to upgrade and sell on their entry level rifle.

If its garden plinking though I would just pick up a cheap springer or their newer gas ram incarnations.

    Something good about brexit..

Have you thought this through? Rocketing food costs, secondary rural economy collapse, dependance on foreign powers for imported food with unregulated intesive, dubvious chemicals and high carbon footprint. Best case corporate super-farm monopolies turning the contryside into factories, bulldozing the woods and hedgerows, monoculturing to maximise profits.

    I guess not.

I would also recommend just getting some dumbells, a barbell and a bench. Stick to the classics.

I’m too old and lazy for the 5×5 squat nonsense so take it easy, higher reps twice a week full body split.

6 months in and seeing good gains, moobs gone. It helps to have some sort of cable machine for the back and triceps but you should be able to work around that.

    Mon:Legs, Chest, Chest, Back, Core.
    Thur:Biceps, Biceps, Triceps, Shoulders.

    About 3×15 for each.

It’s a lottery, what I’ve noticed is it seems like once they know they are going to miss the target, it just gets shelved until convienient. i.e. The same courier has another delivery to someone close by.

On one occasion for a late £250 item I was fobbed off every 48 hours for 10 days. In the end I cancelled and re-ordered fresh. It was delivered next day.
