HD TVs have the same resolution as monitors now, which is usually higher than the xbox games, most are 720p anyway. Just about all 1080 TVs will work as a monitor too. 1080p as opposed to 1080i seems most favoured.

Have one for my Son’s Xbox but don’t think he has watched TV on it ever!

Reckon I’d go for a monitor if it was PC gaming though because I bet they have a better refresh rate. Although plasma is supposed to be best for console games because of the contrast.

Ordered some carbon forks late Saturday night, arrived this morning. 20% cheaper than anywhere else but bit disappointed that they seem to have been fitted to a bike at some point judging by the marks.

Maybe said ex-demo in German somewhere. Pfft first world problems 😥

If I was car camping I’d look at one of these:

For sleeping bags would recommend snugpak elite 3 for price, pack-size and features (expanadable zip).

There are pressure points in your palms that cause numbness, sometimes it can last for days, it’s not unusual on a bike.

If the frame has been replaced it could be anything from your bars are rotated differently to the the saddle is a different height. Probably the latter leading to more weight up front. Try avoiding resting on the palms for too long.

Another Razr i fan, decent screen size but doesn’t feel like you are carrying a tablet around with you.

Would have thought longer chain stays would be top of the list, longer wheelbase so the front wheel stays on the ground. Most climbers tend to have longer stems. Not sure about seat tube, would imagine further forward would be better, head tubes tend to be slacker on MTBs.

So logically >42cm chainstays, 74deg seat tube, 72deg head tube, shortish top tube?

Sounds a bit like a cyclocross frame only they have higher bottom brackets that muck things up. Perhaps an audax frame or Genesis Eq?

+1 for Eurosport commentators, never a dull moment, quite enjoy their comments on the local scenery and history lessons.

Can’t deny slammed and reversed is aesthetic, it’s really about how much your neck can’t cope. I was checking them out bikes on stage 1 yesterday and was surprised to see some even some long head-tubes with spacers and + angles.

Listen to people that follow the rules and you’ll end up with something like this.

Life360 uses Google maps and doesn’t impact battery like Endomondo because it just seems to locate on demand. But I’ve only used it on Android.

Pay freeze cuts are the headline issue not redundancies. What to do about that? Spend less, watch economy shrink, paycut, spend less, economy shrink…

Ofter ride past cottagers lane, ironically on the way to Manfield.

    Never been tempted to detour.

Just watched Sightseers, not big on comedy but was funny, and had a potential STW’er in it.

Also, Jack Reacher – not bad for Tom Cruise

    The bike Thief (1948)

Django Unchained – For Leonardo’s performance.

The caravan is the best bit. Especially for the kids. Wouldn’t worry too much about getting there really early for the best spot, some group of American tourists will turn up 5 mins before and stand right in front of you anyway. Just allow half an hour to walk from where you park to the route, before the caravan us due. Lunch bag hand out spots mean slow riders and photo ops.

Michael Mosley was the guy, and for context I think the conclusions were more along the lines of some people can eat crap and get away with it (reduce cholesterol etc) by exercising, and some people like him have to stick to a strict diet to see improvement and exercise makes little difference.

people have different rates of adaption to exercise,

There was TV program recently, can’t remember what it was called, but they tested this presenter guy by putting him through some running training for a few weeks. At the end he was no fitter.

So they did some more tests and found that because of his genetic disposition, training would never make him any better. Apparently we all have a different bell curve response rate, he was at the extreme bell end of crap.

Maybe wrong but I believe slow moving like agricultural vehicles are obligated to have a flashing light on DCs. That would indicate a perception of more danger, plus the speed limit is higher than on single carriage roads.

If everything is going roughly in the same place how hard can it be to fit it urself? All the pipes are plastic push fit these days. Glueing tiles to a wall, not exactly rocket science.

Brand X frame, Bomber dirt £50 each offa ebay. Deore everything else some of which came off the last and will most likely last for the next.

Some nice steel ones but he liked that one, some can have long top tubes. DMR are nice but expensive. Most take 24″ wheels too.

As a former dummy I’d recommend trying a couple of sites a couple of times. Keep trying till you get some consensus.
