Saw someone use one of those really loud ones on Friday afternoon, literally everyone within 50 yards on a busy street stopped and turned round. Then tittered, at the cyclist though, not the pedestrian he was trying to shame for stepping out.

Earlier in the day I was walking down an alleyway, I knew there was a cyclist without looking behind me cos of my cycling-spider sense, but the guy did ring his bell as he approached. It was one of those old school ring-ring ones. Have to say they sound a lot less intimidating than the ‘ding’ ones that shops all seem to sell.

For a first simple site you could just do some HTML and paste in some PayPal buttons. There are also cart plugins for joomla and WordPress you can get up and running for free.

Met our buyers in the street the other day, apparently the EA has already given them two moving dates weeks ago. Was news to us, only saw the contract for our purchase a couple of days ago. They can even cancelled their holiday and lost a deposit.

Put a stud wall in one end of mine, just used some roofing felt to stop any damp. Bolstered both sides with chipboard, good for screwing shelves on to.

Already had a door, so easy job. Would get a pro in to review any ideas on a new one.

As just mentioned it sounds like a classic case of using the wrong tools.. Excel is for amateur’s first thing you need to to do is uninstall ms office. Then look into a proper bi solution that can be fully automated.

Have tried a few senditnow is by far the cheapest for sending complete bikes, under £15:

    3. Maximum sizes and weights

3.1 The size of each Parcel must not exceed 3 metres length and girth (measured around its thickest part) combined and 1.5 metres in length.
3.2 There is no limit to the weight of a multi-Parcel Consignment but individual Parcels must not exceed 30kg.

Just take the wheels off and take a Stanley knife to the box.

Always preferred Joomla for CMS but like anything takes a bit of time upfront get used to.

Then again if it’s that simple whats wrong with a bit of good old fashioned html and CSS. Flash?

For a given amount of cash your gonna end up with a much better bike upgrading, manufacturers skimp on everything on off the shelf bikes.

The Kona frame sounds like an ideal starting point for a commuter, new groupset & new wheels would make it awesome.

Wait 400m of ascending! Hmm think I’d consider electric assisted.

Also got the 11 in 1. First thing noticed was the weight but comparing to a specialized EMT Pro that cost 7x as much. Not fair comparison really and good for money. Not tried the chain tool but the specialized one has not let me down.

Me and the Mrs have Lenovo’s that have out lasted two of the kid’s new main stream laptops, and I bought them refurbished. I always go for Thinkpads though totally different class.

Wouldn’t expect the same reliability of the standard Lenovos you see in PC World. Paid £250 for my i5 about 2 years ago.

Also how come so many people seem to need to edit videos, not that you can’t, but really? Actually I think that’s only possible on a macbook…

Replaced all ours recently. Using the existing door as a template helps, its amazing how little like 90 degrees door frames are. As above some sharp chisels. And some of those big flat drill bits.

If you don’t know I’d say you should not be messing, especially with bathroom electrics, isn’t it the law now you have to be qualified? You know to stop all those diy’er deaths,
