I like the Bodymax stuff personally. Got an elete bench years ago for half what they are now and still looks like new. Find I only use two settings, flat and incline.

After going beyond dumbells plumbed for a power rack. If you are benching or squatting without a spotter is the best option. There are half racks too but full one means cable options. Seen some decent diy ones too mind.

Just finished Kingdom, the MMA gym not kung-fu one.

Men are over-represented by 20 times. The overwhelming evidence is for systematic bias by gender, not race.

Spin bike gearing is too low for zwift and resistance won’t be measured. Will work fine with power pedals (not cranks because of BB) but power pedals are even more expensive than a turbo.

Cycling the Earth was an easy read. Also like the Bill Bryson stuff, A Walk in the Woods is kinda sporty.

Don’t own a mtb at the moment. Have hired e-mtbs a few times at trail centers and still intend to on a regular basis.

My experience is they completely flattern the hills. No suprise there and passing hyperventilaters inially makes me feel relieved of that.

On the other hand I categorically don’t get the same ‘buzz’ or post ride feeling of achievement like ‘the old days’.

I see it as akin to riding on the flat at a steady pace, with of course amazing views I wouldn’t otherwise get to and some fast decents. Nothing wrong with that, a great day out.

If I want to feel like I’ve pushed myself and get an endorfin rush, I take the gravel bike out on a more manageable route.

Doesn’t seem to be a correlation in the Turkish ones round here, about 80/20.

You need a 9 speed mtb derailleur for 10sp road, I used an SLX for similar. Or get a ‘Derailleur Extender Link’ for a 10sp road shifter, also done that. Edit, just noticed you are dropping the drops.
