I was hoping ML would improve Lion in the same way SL improved Leopard, still not overly impressed with Loin but better now than when first released

Squirt seems to work well for me, chain easily cleaned by rinsing in water.

Unfortunately, with our scanners being down yesterday, I have no way of tracing the above

What are these scanners in the changing room?

Cheap, can feel it working the muscles, slightly too noisy to use while watching the TV

Cannot comment on long term benefit – got bored with it

    I must be lucky.
Ordered a light, got email next day ‘out of stock, 7-10 days’ and then got the item 3 days later.
On a sample size of 1 they did Ok for me, good price too.

The g-form ones look interesting, but not tried them myself

Surely as an ex-Luftwaffe plane it must be a ‘G’

Not really noticed a lot of benefit from PSE10, a few bits have changed a little and the advertising tells me that there are new ‘features’ but not spotted anything I actually want/need to use yet. I am sure there is extra benefit in there somewhere, but probably take someone with more time than me to find it

Just upgraded to PSE 10 so can sell you PSE9 for £20 posted

My ’99 XT Vs squealed, well the front one did. Cured it by fitting XTR

My 10 year old has had his for almost 2 years, still uses it regularly and mostly for the apps. Also uses it for email and the odd bit of music

    Any good?

cb – mostly go caving in Wales, so lots of light can be appreciated 🙂

Cheers, both of those look interesting.
cb – caving lights have really come on. I would guess a carbide system was about 30 lumen, the lights of 5 years ago we’re about 100 but people are now using some really bright lights and its a whole new experience. Probably want 100-200 most of the time and for 10 hours, with the ability to ramp p to 700+ to admire big passage

Should have been a bit clearer:
Caving – I want 700 to 100 lumens, head mounted, rechargeable battery, variable output, waterproof, tough
Bike – 500-100 lumens, head or bar mount, rechargeable battery, variable output, waterproof, tough

100mm hardtail, local, muddy and winter rides
120mm FS big rides, trail centres etc.

Correction, M785’s appear on the US site, but not on the European one

Catfish – Interesting point about the M785’s, I thought it was a typo because the Shimano website only lists 775’s

The rim is a Mavic, but still not had the nerve to go above 50psi, the tyre states a maximum of 50 and the stan’s kit a maximum of 40.

Nuke – It matters because it affects the ride, you can feel the wobble and because it looks pants.

    60-80 psi !!!!
I have only been going as far as 30-40, might use glasses and earplugs if going that far

Not sure getting the right mech is the answer, you need to stop doing whatever is breaking so many! Either change your style, avoid the woods or buy a Rolhof …….. or at your rate of consumption you should get a good discount on a dozen XTRs for the rest of the year

Sorry to see it go, I love mine. But fair to say I would not consider paying £1650

For the riding you do the smaller disks will be fine, go with the all new system and save the faff

I don’t think England has a national anthem, the UK, yes, but England……
Time for Google, and Wikipedia confirms no

    Perhaps we can suggest one?

I use the GA1s and find them very comfy. Never actually fitted the GP1s I had, so cannot compare for comfort. Decided I did not like the look of the GPs – too difficult to grab properly on technical stuff?

Cheers, I’ll give the fibre grip a try, sounds like a cheap option.

    Perhaps a diet as plan b 🙂

One is a cotic frame, with the Hope clamp supplied with it, so should be the right size.
Other is a carbon whyte, also using the clamp supplied with it. Quite confident that clamps are the right size.

Not planning on the rim strips as not sure what they actually do. Are they necessary or useful? £50 pricetag is a bit off putting

Done a day on a hire bike. Nice trails, well marked and easy to follow. Particularly enjoyed crossing the border on a bike on a forest trail.
