Bolle ones for about £9, lots of styles, look good, cheap enough to break

Momentarily felt good that i own two of the bikes on the thread, then realised that them must be both out of date timed-out models :-(

When they need it, about once a year with juicy’s not found out for the XTs yet as only had them a couple of years.
If a little soggy, tape the lever closed and leave overnight, often feels much sharper in the morning

To state the obvious it would depend on whether you wish to use it on or off road.

There is plenty of off road on the island including a lot of big track good view stuff that is easy to follow

Advantages – no pinch flats, no flats at all! can run at lower pressures
Disadvantages – PITA to inflate the first time, so assume trail fix is impossible; not much weight saving as the sealant must weigh close to the mass of a tube; valves don’t like trail pumps

Depends on use, I have mini, wife has retina – both very happy. Mini is, well… smaller and more portable, retina is well…bigger. One thing to note though the iPad 4 has a much nicer processor

I change chains at indicated 75% wear, currently on 4th or 5th with same cassette and rings and everything works fine – try it

    Netflix
Rubbish old films, lots of TV series – some worth watching.
Streaming works well, but nothing in HD
If you want a HD film that is recent – iTunes, but one film will cost almost the same as a month on ntflix

Saxon is nice, but costs a lot more. I’m looking as a 2012 close out model and good discounts available on both, but not much by way of deals on the Saxon

Indeed they do. Just not sure there is much between them other than the CX looks of the Charing

I bought new 3 months back and best deal was Asda. Went for the 4Gb one but it turned out not to have enough space, still worked out cheaper to buy a 4Gb one and a HD upgrade from Amazon than it would have been to get the 250Gb one new.

Well the bananas from our supermarket are a bit smaller than the average watermelon – its a quantity of fruit thing!

If you have just eaten a whole water melon – respect. But that much fruit is going to do something to your guts!

    Should have been more explicit.
I am pricing up moving to 10 speed and was wondering whether the unused 9 speed XT crankset I have form a recent sale will be usable

Tried both Lovefilm and Netflix on the free month trial, both for online use only
Lovefilm was terrible, almost nothing on there at all, and if you did find anything it usually cost extra. Much better with Netflix, at least some material worth watching and a fair bit of it in HD. Agree that most of the stuff is either old or B-movie or both.

When my daughter logged into my son’s account and spent his penguin coins on a pink tutu…. it taught them both a lot about the value of secure passwords.

Not noticed a problem on the MTB, I assume the mud cleans it off for me :-)

Cheers all, looks like technique then. I will try the sit forward, and drop wrists a bit and see what happens.

I have been winding back a bit on the rebound damping (slower) as it sometimes feels a bit over reactive. Tyre pressure does not seem too high – its softer than my other bike by the squeeze test and that seems to climb OK.

Buy new pads and use the clips off of them? Just be more careful next time you take them off

another vote for the Bolle ones, about £8 and reasonable quality

    Simplifies laws
    spreads wear – reduces erosion
    opens up access
provides extra users for underused paths (mid Wales)
Helps keep paths clear of undergrowth
    increases pressure on uncooperative landowners
brings us into line with France, Scotland and possible the rest of the world – why do we need so many classes of access?

Sensing a lot of love for Trances here, but my wife’s ’06 Trance 4 weighs a ton (well 34lb+). No idea which bits are to blame, but suspect pretty much all of them as every bit I look at seems very heavy. No real sign of bits wearing out though so would have to upgrade for weight saving alone.
