Family has a Fiesta Ecoboost and a Passat blue motion
Both a similar to drive with similar levels of get up and go and torque (percieved)
Passat does about 58mpg real world, fiesta about 49mpg. Specifically the Fiesta gets nowhere near its official figure of 65, while the Passat is plausibly close to the official figure of 58.5mpg
Fiesta is nicer on short or twisty journeys, Passat is brilliant on the motorway

Shame you don’t want to use iPhoto, that would do it easily

    Si
As luck would have it I have two caddies available {one new one borrowed], both work fine with another disk and both ‘fail’ in the same way with this one, so think I have eliminated the caddy.

Old laptop performs identically with its disk removed, blank screen, irritating beep, nothing else.

Z1ppy, Might try the Linux option if he cannot recreate from the files on his phone. I can read the disk enough to find the library, but it does not seem up to allowing me to copy much of it.

I had the same problem with the 700mm length, I put them diagonally into a large envelope and by the wonders of Pythagoras, the length was reduced!

    Go 13″, 11 is a bit small
Get at least 256gb, as the cost delta is small and its always useful

    5c only has 8gb capacity – don’t do it its a toy

Mobile data from giffgaff is very flexible, £7.50 for 250mb; £10 for 1gb and £12 unlimited, you buy by the month so easy to up it if you need more.
Three has free data roaming in France, Italy…. well worth it if you holiday in europe
As for what you need, 1gb should be plenty for your described use

If you have the cash go sim free then chose a nice cheap deal on the SIM – giffgaff or three are probably your best bets, giffgaff is more flexible and cheaper, three better for more data

Found it, several different models, so not certain a US bought one would do everything it should in the UK

My iPhone 5 did not work well last year in the US. There are 5 international variants with different frequency ability. My UK model did not match the frequency for 4G in the US, so no data for me.
Took me ages to work out what was wrong as not widely publicised

Surely the VAT and import duty are based on the value as imported, not the new value. If it has two weeks of hard use on it its likely to be worth rather less than the new price ?

Pulled 8 thorns out of my tubeless tyre this morning, all had penetrated to the air chamber – all sealed themselves with a quick spin of the wheel. None gave any issue on the trail – I like tubeless

Really rated this place in 2012. Up on the plateau, so a little cooler and much less crowded than some of the miserable sites near the river. Nice owner, good prices and big spaces between tents

trail_rat – do the 9 speed ones fit, I thought the 10 speed chain was narrower!

“IMPORTANT: The 7,8,and 9 speed links have 2 sides and 1 spacer. 10sp & 11sp Links are POWERLOCK, they fit together but then are not designed to come apart again.”
Above from the CRC product page – I assumed this was why I could not get them apart. The 9 speed ones are fine

My 13 year old told me PS4.
Apparently its a better console, but the big issues is that the Xbox online play thing, which he uses a lot, does not allow 360 and 1 owners to play in the same game – i.e. no interoperability
