Perhaps you should have queried his right to drive a 4×4 on a bridleway. After all it might not have been his land and he may not have a had a right to drive there, take his number and let him know that you are supporting the farmer's right to keep the use of the bridleway across his land to legitimate users.
How could he complain if you were trying to protect his rights :-)
Shimano is about £25, Hope about £70 so your break even point is if the Hope lasts about 3 times as long. I get about 2 1/2 years from a Shimano, so Hope is not looking to be a good bet for me.
I used Macpack for both mine and it was excellent, did both from about 9 months to about 3 1/2 years, then it was me that gave out. After 7 years of use it still looked good and went for about £80 on ebay – meaning that the effective cost was low even though it was expensive to buy.
All MS stuff is the same. Other stuff seems to go across easy enough, even mix'n'match on a network seems to work fine. Only sticky bit is transferring calander appointments and address book stuff, but not too much hassle
Very happy with my Wild country Halo 7+4. Bit of a bungalow, but really well made and nicely thought through. Monsterously heavy (~32kg), but the car can take it!
Paid about £275, but good quality kit
My SSC BB lasted 6 months (I must be lucky) but normally get ~ 2 years out of a Shimano one so not really a good way to save money. pretty colour though
I suspect that this is a fake intended to stir things up. I believe that it contains a factual error that may reveal this, as far as I am aware ‘people of the faith’ includes Jews and Christians as all three faiths believe in the same god – just different ways to appreciate him. Happy for someone with a stronger theological background to correct me.
Marins are prone to creaking because that boxy Al tends to amplify sound!
It could be the BB, not necessarily knacked, but might just need removing and then replacing. Also check rear QR, and seatpost. The noise travels well through that frame
