    Thanks all.

    At the moment it’s just a game, as above no land so can’t do anything with any accuracy it’s just to play with layouts etc.

    If I was going to build a house I would be using an architect and other pros who know what they are doing.

    shorts and flip flops on summer with a T-shirt, shorts and old boots in winter with a warm jacket of some sort………i clean the car weekly and it tends to escalate into a good 6-8hr event every few weeks

    Thats me in summer pink kit in the earlier pic.

    Had Kendal Calling tickets rolled over from last year to this July, just had a look and so far its still on this year but to be honest i’m not holding out much hope, i think mass gatherings like festivals will be the last things back on the social menu….Had my Foals tickets rolled over too for May in Edinburgh and also cant see that happening.

    @superficial indeed you would be correct they would indeed have cost less than that every time especially when sold as spares or repairs so some money back when they bite it. Thing is though sometimes its nice to have something new and fresh be it ICE or electric……sure i could get a cheaper ICE car for less but its all about having what I want/like the look of.

    @5lab a great suggestion however i use the car to put bikes in now and again so not the perfect solution

    Some very valid points in the above and too many to really respond to.

    Like i said earlier we have a 330e PHEV that we try to use as an EV as much as possible and i like driving all electric however once my wife returns to work as normal it will then be away a lot and i will need a car to use, perhaps my millage will creep up to the 3000 mile mark perhaps not.

    I have had a string of sub £1000 banger runners in the past and all have ended up costing money at MOT time etc so its not something i’m keen to go back to in all honesty, the current A1 TDi that I have was purchased when doing higher millage however i now live much much closer to home. The A1 just cost £600 for an injector and the fuel injection specialist thinks the others will follow so that has to go.

    Agree you get more for your money in relation to the Kona etc however i like the look of the ID3, perhaps not the right reason for buying something but it is a driving factor in many decisions.

    To the point of bike being worth more than car, i tick that box also now the Audi is worth very little and the bike is almost brand new.

    I will certainly look into a used leaf, no reason not too with some warranty its can i live with how it looks.

    Cheers

    @wbo its our 2nd car and i live 1.4 miles from work so cycle when i need to head into the office so generally only use the car for School run (school is 5 mile from home so too far for son to walk daily at 7) and then going to the shops etc. It would also be used on the drive to the local trails on the odd occasion (around 60 – 70 mile round trip).

    1200 is based on between MOT millage so the year before i did 1900 so perhaps that’s a more accurate millage but even still very low in comparison to most people I would imagine.

    I have considered an old leaf etc but after spending fortunes fixing the Audi im keen for some warranty support etc on my next car.

    Thanks for sharing that @cheddarchallenged im assuming the issue you have is with the software…..still appears to me it could be the perfect EV for family duties.

    @somafunk indeed that’s what the fuel injection specialist thought however he did indeed manage to find reconditioned ones at almost half the cost of the original and since then I have looked and have been able to find them from one supplier.

    @FFJA
    may well be worth me looking into!

    @nobeerinthefridge 61 plate so yup same.

    @jamesfts
    could be an option i suppose yeah although it could be an excuse to get rid and buy a small van.

    @mikertroid
    yeah car was purchased when i lived further away however i now work a maximum ride of 7min from the door, i do like the look of the vito EV or PHEV transits

    Sounds to me like the two part authentication is turned on still and the device the other party has is the device used as part of the two factor authentication. I dont believe one account can be verified from another however i do wonder if her device although she has a new account is still running the old apple ID rather than that of the new one created for icloud. Check settings-apple ID and all devices using the account will be displayed.

    @spud cheers for that, yeah i perhaps have overlooked the actual risk whilst just looking for rules, think i will stick with the local cheeky trails for now.

    dont see why not but then again i dont use anything like that to be fair, just a brush and water.

    Tend to find that once the bike is clean giving it a quick wipe over with silicone spray makes it really easy to get clean next time as it prevents dirt from sticking.

    @nobeerinthefridge – yup my bad should have said England however to be pragmatic i ride in tweed valley fairly regular so i suppose would be good to understand restrictions that side of the border.

    @hungrymonkey
    agreed i have also had to isolate for two weeks, you make a valid point that i didn’t really consider when posting.

    pretty new house and have loads of space luckily so will be using the old doors as guides for sure, 3 different sizes in the house with varied amounts needed cutting off due to different flooring.

    Some great advice in here so cheers everyone

    @dt78 yeah i think its worth it given the price of joiners and to be honest i have done loads in this house and now its time for doors and it requires kit i have never needed.

    Will take a look at your recommendations cheers

Might just thrown some gravel down for now as will need to patio the area for next year but just wanted a quick solution so I’m not looking at soil over the start of winter

    @maurice worth noting also that the bike is fairly long so depending on how you like your bikes to ride its something to factor in.
    As @fatgit says above i guess its down to setup also, I have the post with a few inch of dropper proud of the seat tube and the seat isn’t fully forwards so you have options there with the XL. I would expect with a large frame you would end up with a similar setup to that i have on the XL but its really hard to say.
    Either way, buy one…..what a machine

    Im a local, numbers are low and the county is not highly populated in the most part. Enjoy the place……were in lockdown because all of the other areas of the NE have such high and rising numbers. Stupid but we have to get on with it…….

    Feel free to lick the locals but not ones from Ashington, they don’t taste overly good.
