AQR[/url] great fun, great food and great trails at a good price. 5 of us went a couple of years ago, so much easier with a guide.

From past experience of being fecked around I would get shot of her asap and think solely about number one, unless there are kids involved then that’s a hole different world of shite. I spent a few years on and off with my ex and looking back now I should of fecked her off after the second chance fell apart. Think about your own mental state and stop worrying about others.

I’ve had almost exactly the same experience and tbh it would have been better for both of us if we had just split and got it over with.

I ended up in a right mess from going back and forth.

We went with Switchbacks to Bubion last April and the trails are fantastic. The guides that we had were great and the whole place is beautiful and friendly.
However, the accommodation and the provisions were disappointing and Michael had broken his wrist so they were a guide down for our two largish groups, we felt that he should have drafted in another guide because the ratio of guide to rider was too low, which could have been serious if we’d had a problem.
We also had poor weather then, so go later in the season, getting wood for the fire seemed to prove difficult.

A great holiday, but a bit expensive for what we got IMHO.

Did the Wales end to end, Llandudno to Port Talbot, which was epic, even though it rained everyday.

Did 24/12 24hr solo came just above middle of the field, but feel I could do better. Not sure that I want to do it again though 😕

End of the year turned to worms, so hoping to get a whole good year in 2012

Happy birthday Tony, I was 50 this year and still looking forward to bringing Team Raven riding with you on the 30th. 😀

    Working today though 🙁

I got a Vito earlier this year, with 5 seats and windows in the back doors, so I don’t pay van prices to go over the Severn. Insurance was slightly more than the Alfa, but fuel consumption is a lot less and it’s as quick but doesn’t corner quite so well 😆

£1800 a year to run! I’d just buy a different one if I had bills that high.

I tried the non-ust ones and they are fine if you’re gentle or run them a bit harder, but I took the sidewall out quite a bit easier than the ust version.

Always the one that’s right in front of my wheel, it’s the only one that exists in reality 😀

    That’s the philosophy done..
    Quantocks Weacombe Hill
+1 for punctured lung in Bubion

Lie is far too short not to dance.

    Cheesy, but I like this…

Work like you don’t need the money
Love like you’ve never been hurt
    Dance like nobody’s watching 😆

Always try to help if I’m on the bike and been helped in return when it’s gone t*ts up for me.

Never seen anyone in trouble when I’m in the car, well not yet.

Common courtesy to ask if you can help, but courtesy seems to be in short supply, I blame the recession/ the government/ parents/ nothing to do with insular miserable individuals obviously 🙄

I have had a similar problem with Maxxis, but I find the Rubber Queens run at 30psi are fine, though not indestructible 😀

Mavic rims and Hope hubs though.

I’ve got bigger dents from rocks in my down tube, not had a problem yet.

Totally ham fisted, but I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Kask for me, very good fit, light and seems tough, bit pricey at £120, but I liked it.

Hope Pro 2 hub, built into a Mavic xm819 rim, bomb proof and easy to get spares for if necessary. IMHO, of course

I believe Which magazine did a study, the conclusion being that it is actually cheaper to get the loan to do the work and keep the ‘feed in’ money yourself.

As far as storage goes, you effectively use the grid for storage.

This “won’t boil a kettle” nonsense is just headline grabbing rubbish, completely missing the point.

On a sunny day in winter they will work just as well as in summer, it’s light not heat that PV’s use.

What we had there at 24/12, is what i believe to be a proper MTB endurance course.

    Sharki summed it up beautifully.

My first 24 hr solo, had a great time, great course and a great atmosphere.

well done, certainly my favourite event of it’s kind.

Great course and just the right balance of chilled, competitive people.

In order to make a choice you need to know what the choices are, this approach just seems to be a recipe for confusion, not choice.

Gender roles always a contentious subject,I just feel that the way they are going about it is going to make all their lives more difficult.

Allowing them to be what they want, when they want is fine, but trying to hide it? That’s hard work.

Most definitely, I was gobsmacked at the difference when I changed the lowers on my fox forks to qr15. Since nothing else had changed it had to be the bolt thru.
