*Not a recommendation as such, more what I would avoid next time*

    I tried one of theses

    http://fabric.cc/bottles/600ml-cageless-waterbottle

and it came off twice on its first go. Great idea, but not quite there IMO

got some of these from SSCXEU in Feb. They are big enough I had to move my brake lever and grippy and I find them comfy. Weirdly the ones I got are lock-ons but they don’t seem to be for sale

Those All City bikes look lovely in the flesh, but I picked up one of the Nature Boy discs, well I tried anyway. It was on my list of bikes I would like a go on, but it is not cheap and needs a diet more than I do

The premium steel and carbon forks will help though

    I use some of these

keeps you warm in the winter and bramble/nettle safe in the summer. It also protects font and back for those bike wheeling incidents

    That sucks
Luckily we have been doing a Matesraces and it has been dry enough for me to ride my FS, but it is annoying having to walk past it everyday.

Looks tapered, but not taken it apart. And mine took ages to seal tubeless, but I did put the wrong sealant in…

The link has a load of 29″ forks that people have tried out, boost and non-boost, and certainly a 29″ Fox 36 wont be cheaper from a shop but you might be able to pick up something off eBay?

My PM was an ex demo so only cost a bit more than your upgrade! Luckily I have another bike, but otherwise I would be getting very frustrated. Did you try and get the end caps off the front wheel to see if it was/is convertible?

What about relegation if a team is whitewashed? Means every game means something to the team at the bottom, and if you are whitewashed then maybe you aren’t at the standard required for 6 Nations. It doesn’t happen that often (think Italy were the last team to be whitewashed and that was 4 years ago? Sure someone will correct me though!) and if you are winning at least a game then you have a right to be in the competition

Yeah, I see Payne as an upgrade over Kearney

I was not implying that igm was right, merely that one should recognise the point at which you realise that the discussion will never be settled. igm sees one thing, and his head will not be turned. We could all spend days pointing out the errors, but whether he is trolling or not, it is clear that igm is going to stick with his opinion, and therefore to save this dragging on any further, just walk away.

Here have some naked Gavin and some dogs

DezB, thanks for trying, I was going to try and do what you did, got as far as watching the video clip and realised that the picture must have been scrambled on its way to igm’s house.

    Walk away!!

rumbledethumps – the 2017 came with 3″ Nobby Nics Performance tyres. Despite some reviews of semi-fat being awful in the mud etc, I have found them pretty good.

There is a good argument that it should have been. He certainly lifted legs beyond horizontal and didn’t look after Daly on the way down, and the first thing to hit the ground is shoulders/bottom of neck, tough to really spot exactly. In his favour he didn’t have hold of Daly’s legs at impact so could argue he wasn’t driving him into the ground, but I would suggest Ross Ford gets ready for Saturday just in case

It seemed an odd thing to do in using a boost width but then a QR. I had sort of assumed you could pop off the ends and it would all be 15mm ready. But then I live in my own little world where I assume that bike bits fit all bikes. Might be worth talking to Marin direct as the specs are all very confusing

On the PM 1 above the spec sheet says Joytec 110mm 9mm QR hub, but the fork spec says 15mm and the PM has the same call up on the hub and it definitely is 9mm

This years’s Pine Mountain 1 ships with a 120mm fork and “looks” to be the same frame as the Pine Mountain

    https://www.teamcycles.com/bikes/p-8344-marin-pine-mountain-1-275/

Got the recall email too so mine is just sat in the shed, all lonely. What are you going to do about the wheels? The front is QR and a weird dimension (141mm I think?) but not sure how adaptable the hub is.

I thought about maybe getting some suspension, but then thought it might be new wheels too, and so just went out and rode it instead. Be interested to see what you get…

    EDIT:

my email had this at the bottom

Marin has revised the design of the forks, and is currently producing replacements.
? Replacement forks will be sent directly to you in the first week of March.
? Replacement forks will be visibly different to allow you and your customers to easily tell the difference between the original, and the replacement forks.
? Replacement forks will ship with cut steerers, and crown race + star nuts installed, to facilitate quick replacement.”

So you might still get out at the weekend?

dantsw13 – yup agreed, but if part of your tactic is to cause an obstruction, then be going offside and waving your hands around is “interfering”, so if you try it and a ruck forms you get to retreat with no penalty? Seems to be a no lose situation? I think that is what annoyed me. If you look at some of the examples in the 42 article then the Chiefs were caught a few times, but Italy seemed to wander around, in and out, and confusion reigned and the ref didn’t seem too bothered

Couple of things form the weekend from me
    1) AW Jones again was over ruled by his kickers/made what turned out to be wrong call. Yes Robshaw did it against Wales in RWC, but he was flayed for it. If AW can’t tell his own players what to do, I can’t see him as Lions captain. Gatland may think otherwise and that is what counts but for me that was it. Poor game and poor management
    2) I am fine with the Italian tactics, however it did ruin the flow of the game. England took too long to cop on, but I can see why as there was a certain amount of drifting in and out of the area; at one point the ref called “tackle” and then had to correct himself, which doesn’t help; and also the Italians several times walked round to employ their tactic, but were told it was a ruck and to return. Surely as soon as they stray offside it should have been a penalty for offside, not just a friendly word to get back onside? And because of the confusion for the offside line the Italians in the centre crept up and didnt seem to get blown up for it.

England need to wake up if they are to beat Scotland

1952 actually, so about the same age as you?

We had it all rehung planed sanded and repainted a couple of years ago. Last year was fine, but this year it has started to jam again. Wife was locked out earlier and not overly happy about it!
