I am also perplexed by the lack of gp comment (or in fact any other threads on this subject, would have thought there would have been more?) on this topic.

I have been following this really closely as the missus is in the high risk group.

I do not really understand the figures out there at the moment though.

40 deaths per day once the infection rate reaches 100K per day?

surely the US (which was thought to have had 1 million cases, a week ago) would have had a higher death rate than we have seen so far, by now?

So what is the feeling out there in doctorland, on the projected death rates?

Also I am after some informed advice.

I am a full time carer of my wife who has CVID and a particular weakness to Pneumonia, she also has chronic asthma.

So we can basically take ourselves (as far as possible) out of contact with people (neither of us work), is this worth it or pointless now?

Also have a mates wedding party coming up, with 200+ people from all over the country/world attending. I am really twitching about going and bringing back an infection to the missus…..

    your thoughts stw?

cheers chrisl, i havent seen another one like it.

it was the US bottom of the range model, it had the giants own shock on it, but it looked good.

got it new from ebay a couple of years ago and sold it a few months later, but i really regret selling it.

crap pic but about 24lbs (including pedals, not weighed on the moon)

pinches you should stop borrowing vanessa felts scales to weigh your bike on

am also a newbie roadie, why no camelbacks for them then?

surely a water bottle on the bike is more fiddly?

its a love story (a dramatic interpretation of beethovens life) very loosely based around the inspiration for the music.

probably a complete fiction, but gary altman was pretty good, it made me sob as a teenager, and made me listen to classical music

stick it on ebay, but be prepared to mail it overseas/answer questions about postage, this is not too bad a thing, the frame will fetch far more on ebay me thinks.

split it, pack it and weigh the parcels then use the royal mail postal price checker, that way you wont lose out on international p+p

nice one guys, good solid advice!

I had a bike with drops last year for a month or two, probably didnt give it long enough, and they were deep ergo drops.

im just twitching a bit about paying £400 for what i reckon to be a 2002 frameset, with lowish end campag kit…. the guy reckons he is 2nd owner, and it only has 500 miles on it, but…

    carbon stem and seatpost tho!

i’ll go and have a look me thinks

    exactly saxonrider

loved joshua tree, my favourite album of all time, I still get excited when i hear the slowly crescendoing riff on where the streets have no name, and can still not even vaguely play it even though it inspired me to learn the guitar 20 years ago

    achtung baby almost as much

    zooropa was pretty good,

    pop alright,

really i thought they all upped the rotor size by 20mm?

if i can get a post to is adapter which doesnt up the rotor size for a hope mono mini 2006 i would be well chuffed!!!!!

I am looking at the same thing.

if your frame is meant for 80mm travel forks, you need a 420mm leg, 440mm for 100mm travel frames, pace rc31 carbons are the best (they have a little elastomer at the top which help dampen vibration further) but they are pricey, £150 new, £100 used.

others do carbon forks, all pretty much the same design, eXotic are the cheapest at about £100 posted, search ebay, they also do alu forks of the same design for about £60 posted

kona do some heavier rigid forks as do kinesis, but they are more like the older cromo forks from back in the day

    hope this helps

i quite fancy a cheap giant tcr (if i can find a small anywhere) does anyone know if the frame is the same throughout the range (like the old xtcs used to be), and is it any good, ie a good basis for future upgrades?
