Earlier this year I moved to Over Hulton (BL5) from Liverpool to live with the missus.

So many more options for riding than Liverpool obviously but what i would say is being that 10/15mins from Winter hill is also really annoying still, so close yet so far for a quick before work ride or similar. If we move I will be sure to move closer to Horwich / Blacked / Lostock / Markland Hill area’s so I can ride from the house easily & still have the good transport links as I still work in Liverpool & the missus in Manchester.

Depends on your transport links but for me Egerton & Entwistle are that bit more hassle for work etc.

50/50 ill make it home on time, ill text Dunc if I am coming, presume not otherwise :(

OP you sound so much more prepared than most of us could ever be, you were brave enough to step up when someone needed you, its extremely admirable.

Your feelings are understandable, natural, but you put in a sterling effort & thats all that anyone could ever do, It’s almost impossible to feel like you did a good job with the outcome I’m sure.

That sounds like they were talking nonsense I’m afraid. Moving the pivot on a single pivot bike can have quite and effect on the suspension, you wouldn’t do it just for stiffness.

maybe they tested it and found a way that worked? :lol:

Im in providing the commute home goes well, can you clarify exactly where the start point is? Not familiar with the area yet :)

To increase stiffness with wider rear end I was told by a member of the orange demo day crew

I could but that would be subject to tax – a £400 lease on a car through the business costs around 20% tax (as I can offset some of it against profit), £400 allowance would cost me 40% tax.

Give yourself a bigger allowance then & pocket the change?
